3. I suspect the 3.9ohm jobbies will be ok. Have a word with the peeps on the BFM forum, they'll know for sure!
4. sh*t, really sorry to hear about this....... Pm'd
5. For £400, you could consider second hand pre+power amp. Not the new super light 1U jobbies mind, but I'm sure you find something fairly easily.
6. Fine preamp the 1-FX - team it up with a decent power amp and the result is thunderous!
7. I know it's a bit chunky, but is there no way you can ship it? Want it! Want it! Want it!
8.
Just stumbled on this thread from Bill's forum, fascinating stuff, all that folded horn, bass reflex, voice of the theatre stuff. Did'nt realise you could actually get the bottom end you wanted with a home build. Looks great, complicated, but superb.
Get your hands on the BFM Omni15 Tallboy currently for sale on this very forum and then you'll know what Clarity and Bottom End's really about! Apologies for hijacking an excellent looking build BTW!
9.
any idea what speakers are in this?
I believe there's an Eminence Kappalite 3015 neo doing the bottom end stuff - not sure about the rest without checking the build thread.
10. I've got the 'Wideboy' version of this cab (same parts slightly different layout) and can highly recommend it. The bottom end on these is nothing short of amazing as it's basically a sub with a 15" driver. The midrange is handled admirably by the 8" driver with any top end requirements by the tweeters. On mine, I found the tweeter a little bright for my tastes and although a simple switch could be installed, I just stuffed a small piece of black cloth in the horn to tame it....! As has been said, £275 wouldn't get you the parts (there's some quality coils in the crossovers) let alone the hours spent building it. S'bargain, I tells you all, a bargain!

12.
Anyone actually had an RCD trip?
Yeah, still getting flashbacks thirty years on...!
13. Thanks Michael! Though you know what's it's like with me - always plenty of half finished projects on the go!
14. Just taken delivery of Bills' new set of plans for the Jack 15! http://www.billfitzmaurice.com/Jack.html Looks like a good build - even got the recommended drivers lying around! I sense a project on the horizon.
15. Bought a flight case off Kev and found him to be a pleasure to deal with! Excellent communication throughout. Cheers Kev! Grahame
16. I can highly recommend Matt as a top bloke to deal with! BTW Matt, still loving my Yammy.
I'm not so sure about the tidy bass playing. You put me to shame.
That's bollocks! Your playing was tight, tight, tight! Mine was a classic demonstration of how NOT to play a fretless!
18. Like others have commented, this is a community first and foremost. I wouldn't sell for profit, I'm just really grateful I can buy something, try it for a while and if I don't want to keep it for whatever reason, move it on without losing out big time (well not too much anyway..).

Liam bought my SVT last night (it hurt, it really hurt....). I found him to be a thoroughly pleasant guy and very easy to deal with. Also treated me to some pretty tidy bass playing! Cheers Liam! Grahame
20. Thanks for the offer my friend but I'm really after a cash deal or maybe the Aggie. Cheers Grahame
21. Excellent! Love Bills' designs - what driver are you planning on using?
22. Ooooh.. What bike is it? Used to be a big V twin fan (also liked my Laverda triple but preferred the Ducati).
23. Predicable Sunday evening bump with added trade option. I know, I know! I said no trades please, but sooo many people have said that I really must try a DB680.
