  1. Should be fine - I regularly gigged mine (but we did have decent PA support). I got the 2nd when I started playing with Marshall-equipped GnR-fan guitarists, playing without decent PA. 2 made such a cute mini-stack, and I had the option of using just 1 for jams & rehearsals.
  2. I used to use a PF350 through a One10, then two One10s, now one Two10. I like it! The tweeter would have been useful in our new rehearsal space last week, as I was having trouble distinguishing pitch (must have been in a null or something).
  3. The scratch plate and control plate look off - maybe later additions. The overspray on the arm contour suggests ply body. It doesn’t scream “decent” to me, but then maybe it plays like a dream? Off images alone, it would be a no from me.
  4. I am an enthusiast, definitely not any sort of authority, so please take anything I say with a pocketful of rocksalt, but here’s what I found on the web; a drum kit is regularly quoted as 120dB, so @ 75 metres that would still be 82.5dB, which would still wind up the suitably inclined. What materials are to be used internally? Plasterboard is about 10kg per M sq, and home studios trying not to bother anyone usually go for a system with a 40kg per M sq in their wall structure.
  5. Are you building a room-in-a-room for isolation? Or doing “hat & channel” mounting the plasterboard? I only ask as am assuming the dB level will be quite high, and neighbours might get funny after a few weeks of noise. I’m really close to loads of other houses, so am going all in on my build to minimise noise leakage. You have a decent distance to closest neighbours by the looks of it.
  6. I’m far too in to these sorts of things - what will be the finished internal room height? I’m halfway through a very slow build and had to keep the exterior height below 2.5metres, so internally it’s… cosy.
  7. That neck looks very touchable. I’d take the 4 string PJ in natural.
  8. Take it off and buff it with Brasso? Might make it look better. My inclination would be to make best as-is before chucking money at it.
  9. A thorough clean and polish would do so much. If the pickups still work, then I’d leave them in. Maybe sandpaper on the pole pieces to get them shiney? Just don’t use wire wool!

What, like, 0 digital amps? 0 wow. Shows I know nothing. Zero. (that was a continuation of my bad joke, btw - wasn’t being snotty!)

222 views and 5 comments - I’d say it’s far from 0. Was this thread originally about digital amps?
  12. Oooh, that ‘79! My favorite colour combo and YOB.
  13. Gearspace - it’s full of Americans, but it can be alright.
  14. My 12 yr old daughter liked my Squier CV Mustang, but ultimately preferred her Ukelele! I think there’s some decent options out there, so it’ll boil down to what inspires her enough to pick it up.
  15. I was actually wondering where you’d gone @Jabba_the_gut- was going to message! Chuffed to see you back at it!
  16. That looks great, Andy. I love the way chrome on roasted maple looks like a person with a heavy tan and shiny white teeth (in a good way).
  17. Nice riff. Not sure if I’ve heard it before - what is it?
  18. I really liked the look of that outgoing one.
  19. I had one in the finish you sought - I accidentally killed the preamp so got a passive loom. Worked really well. So comfortable to play with such a perfect balance. I eventually decided the neck was too skinny for me so sold it. Maybe I should have kept hold of it 🤪
