2. hi guys, all gone now. on their way to new owners! many thanks Geoff
3. i know what you guys mean about the high retail price. i bought mine, for a good price from the Gallery 1 year ago and love it. As soon as i played it i knew i would buy it. sound, finish, set up etc....all amazing and worth paying for if you find the right one. im really into getting a bargain second hand but knew that the bass i found was so good it was worth paying for. Toasted is also a very lucky man, his sadowsky is really special....as is his celinder :-) Best advice is to play one first.......
4. both ....they are both really new so will sound great, i liked them both....spiros seemed harder work due to tension but i really enjoyed the classic sound they have.........obligatos were kinder under the bow....but i like the attack of spios....

6. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/geoffbassist/m.html...from=&_ipg= im selling on some strings as ive decided to stick to Evahs and seem to have loads of spare strings in the draw! all in great nick, cheers geoff www.geoffchalmers.com
7. i also think that if you dont like the weichs then the obligatos will not cut it, although i do like them for jazz. Why not keep the spiros and stick on the evahs in the event of an ocasional show that needs a hybrid string, i know its a hassle but those amazing new tuners can take it :-)
8. hey pete, ive just taken off the belcantos/spios mittels after fighting them on the alan barnes gig last wed. It was a real roast and ive decided to go back to the evahs. i still think that spiro weichs are better for jazz but for now im going to stick to the evahs, but the regulars are massive so i am still on a quest for the weichs! Really enjoyed meeting you the other day, you have 2 amazing basses! cheers geoff
9. hey alan, was the sunday jam session the new one at bakers vaults? im down there this coming sun....good luck with the sale, cheers geoff

13. gareths a top bloke......buy or sell with confidence :-)
14. Great list!
It's sometimes a never ending journey to get your bass amplified the way you like. If you're not playing in very loud situations then you might consider some kind of mic setup like the ATM350 mixed with a pickup. Have a look at this list. Not sure how old it is but it gives you an idea of whats out there. Good luck on your mission
15. i was starting to wonder if it was cursed, but then i used it tonight on a gig and it sounded AMAZING.......im missing it already!
16. i love laurences playing, ive seen him live a few times over the last few years always with his Yamaha TRB, i also prefer the Wal sound though.......i wonder why he doesnt still use it?..........
17. hi guys, im really short on cash so im offering this cab for an amazing price of £550! before it goes on ebay........collection only
18. Hey guys, ive had a few PMs about how low i would be willing to go on the price.....The best I could sell it for is £580....these are currently £1069.00 from bass direct. I paid £650 from toasted so i think this is an amazing price for such a high end bit of kit in essentially new condition.... Anyway i wont accept any offers below £580 collected from manchester, but if you have any more questions feel free to PM me :-)
19.
I had a Delta 600 head. Good solid (heavy!)build, reliable bit of kit. Was a bit 'middly' IIRC,but okay. Sold it on here for a song.....
i think that was me.....i had it serviced and its working great, im using a newer head most of the time but its great to have it it about.....
