1. hey Marcus, i really hope your ok, thats an amazing rig! im using sadowsky and a db750 and its such a good match.....Put them all in the attic for a few weeks and see how you feel :-) Good luck mate Geoff
2. i wish i was not so poor! great bass good luck with the sale......
3. scotts a wicked player and a serious teacher if anyone wants some quality lessons....
4. there are sooo many new lightweight cabs around at the moment! its really confusing knowing which way to go.....i think that schroeder are leading the way though.......
5. i cant belive its only 119lb's ....still a bit heavy for me but if Ampeg made the same combination it would be insane....... oh and can you imagine what the rest of the band would say when you turned up at a pub gig and rolled in that bad boy!
6. i had a 21012 that sounded amazing with a solid state head but when i bought a DB750 the bottom end became too much...I am considering buying a couple of 115L+ 's but am a bit nervous about the quality issues that come from buying from such a small set up...also heard a lot of stories about stuff not being quite right......might go for the brand and buy an SWR golight 410 instead....decisions..decisions.... However the 21012 was a terrific cab and i bet it would sound amazing with the mark bass heads...............
7. Glad to hear the bergs are working out :-) im really tempted to go for an AE410 with my DB750 but might have to go for the SWR golight 4x10 which is only £759 at the bass gallery...saying that, if the AE series is really that good! must not spend money, must not spend! :-)
8. roons a top bloke/player......... 100%
9. hey roon, search for geoff bassist on feedback section....i will go see if you are there... great seeing you again yesterday, cheers geoff
10. hey guys thanks for all your help and advice...if i can get some cash together then i would like to take a trip to bass direct to check out the bergs....cheers geoff
11. sorry....its worth a trip up the m6 though!
12. hey guys, i bought a swr big ben 1x18" cab off pete a few weeks ago to see me right for some gigs whilst im inbetween cabs..it looks like its replacement should be soon so i thought i would put this up for what i paid for it, £50 collected from manchester. Ive done 3 (loud) gigs with it and it sounded great, very bassy! heres the original post... cheers geoff http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...&hl=bag+end
13. hey chris, thanks for your reply....im not far from bass direct so will try and get some funds in place and go and see for myself but im thinking more and more about the bergs being the best long term option...im also getting bored of lugging heavy gear about.... cheers geoff
14.
Bergantino cabs all the way, according to those that have DB750's on Talkbass.
hey chris how do you get on with the 12 and 210 combination? sounds really flexible... did you get a chance to compare the AE and HS bergs? cheers for your help Geoff
15.
Check out the NV610 for sale here on BC.
yeh i spotted that! it looks amazing but its too big for the sort of gigs i do....i had a play on joes old one and it was amazing! ...just realised joe also has his new sadowsky! a trip over the penines might be in order!
16. yeh i thought so....i would be well up for 2x210s's but they are so expensive.....mmmm...ive heard the HS seem so have the edge on sound over the AE series which is good as they are about £100 less per 2x10...
17. hey guys, sorry for the boring post but i was hoping for some advice as ive been going round in circles trying to find the right cabs.. I play mostly jazz/soul/funk I have recently got a db750 which i love. However with my schroder 21012 it was just too boomy...and i like an old school bass sound but it was really too much...However with my old solid sate head it was amazing...but the DB750 won out and i sold the schroeder i was thinking of getting an aggie DB210..eventually 2... or 1 and a DBx12..do you guys find them clear enough with the 750? i could go for something really hi fi like the bergs, but they dont have aguilar on the front! Also they are really expensive...i dont usually do hifi cabs, in the past ive owned a Euphonic audio 210 that was too hi fi, but with the DB750 it might have been a great match.. cheers Geoff
18. yep, ive owned loads of basses and the sadowsky modern 5 i have right now works in every context...the other day i did a pub gig in leeds with a beringer 90 amp (which was a bad as it sounds!) but still people complemented the bass...... by the way joes celinder is also Very special!

21. Sorry for messing about but ive been talked down by other DB750 users!...i think the answer to my tone problems is different cabs..Many thanks for any enquires Geoff
