3. oh....as far as trades go im not really interested but I am after an aguilar tone hammer...... and cash ;-)
4. Hi guys, due to lack of cash ive decided to sell my beloved DB750. I bought it 1 year ago off another basschatter who bought it from the bass gallery 2 years earlier... so its about 3 years old... After a massive search on talkbass I upgraded/replaced all the tubes with groove tubes and racked it in a gator 2u short case so its really compact....I will post details of the tubes later in the week. Its in great condition and works perfectly and has had a service 1 year ago(when the tubes were changed). The rack ears are slightly bent due to the previous owners old rack not supporting the back of the db750. However this is only really noticable out of the rack as its only very slight. I will post some pics over the next few days but i wanted to get the ball rolling. Im asking 950.00 pounds including the gator case.... I might consider postage but would prefer to try and arrange collection or perhaps meeting somewhere..... OH, IT SOUNDS AMAZING!
5. Ive always loved BP and really hope they get back on track. IMO its far better than any of the uk efforts.....Bassist was very good though...
6. mmm they have alway been a bit dodgy with me, ive bought a couple of basses and really didnt feel good about it. The staff seem to have a real attitude, and they could also do with a duster :-)
7. keep at it adam, you have a great ear so im sure you will be getting a great sound in no time :-) cheers Geoff
8. nooooo! this bass is amazing and joes a TOP bloke/bassist! ....if only i had 2k!
9. ive had loads of RSI problems but if you have a well set up double bass and a great tutor then you should be fine. Ive found that its easier on double to keep your wrists straight than on electric. If you have the time to practice, get stuck in!
10. Just a thought, im a student at the RNCM in manchester and could meet any serious potential buyers there on BASS DAY if anyone wants to try this out?
11. Yeh i got it for a great price so im happy to sell it on. It is LOADs better than anything you could get elsewhere for this money, i just dont use it and am really broke. Ive also had a few PMs about postage. Im not intrested in finding packing that would be suitable and am sure it would cost loads to send/insure something this size...... can offer free cup of tea in manchester though :-)
12. hey chipps, you are wecome to come and have a go if you fancy it...good luck with the fretless...
Hmm... looks nice. I've only just started taking fretless er, sideways (for want of a better word) bass lessons, so I'm probably going to be out of my depth if I start messing around with uprights, aren't I? I'm near Manchester too, which makes it even more tempting. I may actually have enough guitars and basses for the moment... Oh, I really shouldn't keep coming on this forum, it's all far too tempting
13. thanks Dougal, you are a legend :-) Im still loving the bass, but bank account is not looking so good :-) cheers Geoff

16. Hi, guys im selling my Rare Japanese atelier z guitar works eub. This is a quality, well built Electric Upright Double bass with a maple neck and ebony fingerboard with a quality Atelier z pickup. The bass electronics are passive with vol and tone controls. It also has quality maple adjustable bridge. It also has an ajustable/detachable bar to obtain correct playing position and can be played seated or standing. This comes off and fits in the well made soft case with bass for compact transport. It is well set up and easy to play. The bridge profile is flatter than usual classical set up but arco is still possible and its really comfy for pizz.... This is a great opportunity to buy a cheap EUB which is MUCH better quality than the palatino upright basses which are now common, the build quality is much better! comes with well made soft case and is set up with piastro obligato strings which have had light use. The bass is in great condition with only very minor marks and no cracks...... You are welcome to come and try the bass before commiting to a sale.
