Some of you cats have some great adverts and all I can get is thumbnails. I know one can click on them and they go up in size but that's not the point......! How was Bass Direct in the end? I love it in there They are opinionated, that is true. They are dedicated to bass though. IMO. I ordered a Sandberg California from them. Plus, a Genz Benz rig. It was a great day. Luke, who doesn't work there anymore, was a top lad. Mark, the gaffer is cool. He knows his stuff. They put you straight. I call Mark the Oracle. I email him alsorts of random questions. He never tells me to go forth, when he could easily. I went in not long ago to check out 1972 jazz bass, in white with black fret inlays and the guy Marcus, Mark's new chap on the floor, dissuaded me from buying it. As I drove home, I thought "Tosser, I didn't like him." However, with hindsight he was right. My jaunt up there wasn't half as much fun but it made me realise I had gone there on a whim. They knew. Hello guys and girls..... I'm feeling the love for my first proper amp and cabinet set up. It's Genz Benz. Shuttle 6.2 with a 15 and a 210 Focus cab........ I always had combos by Fender and Line 6 and one day I woke up, drove to Bass Direct, ordered a Sandberg California and bought a Genz Benz set up there. I'm loving this website. You guys have taught me so much from reading your forums and I was wondering how you arrived at your amplification now? What did you start with? Was it sh*te? What steered you? The style of bass you play? Have you stayed with a particular amp and bought better cabs? Or was it the other way round? Were you looking for a particular sound or did you stumble across something beautiful? Can you describe your back line sound? Warp speed and regards, Chewie

I'm with you bubinga5...... Turner reminds of a sort of Juian Clary dullard in a lot of ways. I love some of the bass on Rock Dust Light Star mind....!
