1. Its dead as far as the chorus effect is concerned. I've wet soldered all contacts but nowt happening. New MXR replacement in the pedalboard now.
2. I did a gig last year with a (square cab not the rounded one) TC 2x12, very good and full sounding at low levels I used for that particular band. This prompted me to get a 2x12 cab but I went for the Markbass 2x12 Ninja, handles 800 watts but is 8 ohm. (The Markbass NY 2x122 is a 4 ohm cab at 800 watts). Terrific cabinet ! It could possibly do as a single cab for you instead of lugging two cabs about.
3. Carefully does it, internal damage possible, the poles in pickups can often not be moved too far before signal loss. Dimarzio have pickups that have screw poles, much easier but they can’t be moved too far before signal loss.
4. I’ve taken the board out and cannot see any ‘fried’ or dry solder joints. Ongoing repairs! Cheers
5. My EBS chorus pedal shows all signs of life but no chorus happening. The power light (from T Rex power supply) switches on, the cables are all good and the thru signal is as it should be but no chorus when the button is depressed. Anyone with knowledge of these electronic things is welcome to comment?
6. Allparts UK. They just sent me two CTS 500k centre indent pan/blend pots around £6.25 each (plus post) within a couple of days. Call and chat, very helpful info from them about which value pots you will need and maybe size as well.
7.
Hi all, Troubled individual seeking all in one cab. Please help. I play in a Green Day tribute band, playing venues ranging from very small to open air very large. I had an orange OB1 500, an Aguilar DB115 and 210 but they just weren’t doing it for me, on both sound and weight/size. So I’ve bought an Aguilar TH500 and require a suitable cab to accompany. At the moment I’m between Vanderkley and Barefaced. Any thoughts? Anything I’m missing? Unfortunately in the North East there’s very little to try in the shops (at least I can’t think of anywhere) so I’m reliant upon you fine folks. Answers on a postcard, or just below. Cheers!
If you are ‘missing’ any other make....I’ve been touring a MarkBass Ninja 2x12 which is the 800 watt 8 ohm cab, stand alone cab, working really well instead of my usual MB two 2x10 cabs. They also have a MarkBass NY 2x12 @ 800 Watts 4 ohm.
8. Its interesting that double basses/ violones stretching back hundreds of years had assorted numbers of strings, some three, four and five and even six strings. I find it fascinating that bass/ violone makers were exploring that territory way back then. What could they have sounded like. Here are a few pictures of basses one from 1683 of 5 and 6 string basses. Hope you people enjoy the pics as they aren't the greatest off the ipad. Fretted double bass in the book look like it used gut for frets up to the 7th fret!
9. Ninja 2x12 big thumbs up from me so far. I've enjoyed all the varied gigs it has performed on over the last three weeks.

Its the 8 ohm and 400 watt version, plenty of welly and helps make a big sound under another cab like a 2x10. Collection is in NE Hampshire not far off the A3, possible meet up the A3 or if you wanted to get a courier sorted I can be on hand for collection or drop off at a courier collection shop IF the chosen courier allows weight/size. 12. A good Osteopath may help, if you haven't tried yet. Mine checked out strap length/height of my bass as too low can cause wrist problems. Also look at how your Thunderbird sits in relation to arm length for the 1st/lower frets on the bass. ie...Fender bass top horn strap button ends over the 12th fret area. Some modern basses over the 14th fret area. Where does the Thunderbird top strap button sit, it could be 'pushing' the neck/lower fret area position away from your body and possibly straining your wrist to operate easily.

14. Check out MarkBass Ninja 2x12 cabinet, for 800 watt at 8 ohms a great cabinet handling tons of bass.
15. Great dealing with 'atsampson'....sold a bass to him and excellent comms including sending me a picture of the bass after he bolted back on and set up the neck...cheers my man.

21. Whoops....yes that may help it along, thanks Geoff.....did it on an iPad!!
22. My Mistake, this should be in Amps and Cabs FOR SALE..... £325 My MarkBass 15" Traveller hasn't done that many gigs over the years and then usually coupled with a MarkBass 2x10. It's an 8 ohm 400 watt version, no cover but in nice clean condition. Collection in the NE Hampshire area....courier up to you....
23. Always....and on my trusty fretless too.
24. More gigs and this cab is definitely settling in very nicely. Very powerful if needed and I could dare to say a little better overall in showing off my fretless basses tone qualities.
25. I now have a Ninja 2x12 and first outings with it have been very positive. I haven't pushed this 800 watt cabinet to the limit but it has stood in for a stacked 2x10 with a Traveller 2x10 very well, obviously not as 'wide' dispersion as two cabs but all in all it handled volume very well in two different bands/venues.....two of these would be monster! MarkBass haven't followed that idea yet but a front ported 2x12 could be welcomed.
