1. Good work!

3. Looks like an early P Bass Lyte without the later contours. http://media.photobucket.com/image/p%20bas...it21/twins1.jpg
4.
.... Not only a knitwear bigot but a Fascist 'Tache-ist!
5. Would be easier and more stable to rout the body to accept the wider neck. Didn't Neepheid put a 6er neck on a smaller body to make an extra wide 5 string bass? There was a build diary on it somewhere, search Zebrano wide boy. As for not being able to buy a 5er neck on the cheap, i'm sure waynepunkdude paid a few quid for an entire 5 string bass! Although it was fugly...
6. Have you tried putting one pedal in front of another? I switched in the OD on my MXR M80 with my Mastotron still on and it sounded immense! Although you said no Fuzzes, one of my favourite pedals is my Danelectro Black Liqourice. If the octave switch was a footswitch and it didn't hum so much it'd be perfect, it's the heaviest sound i've had and the octave down is great on the A string and above. £12 posted from eBay too
7. BUMP for price drop, need the space!
8. Yeah i tried my Schroeder on a stand and the bottom end went walkies, on the Gramma it's right there and nice and tight. Maybe it's the magic pixie dust in the Auralex foam? So that's where my £50 went! Btw i got all the p1ss taking when i started using it, especially when i foolishly told our singer how much it cost. You sound like a total clown trying to justify spending money on wood and foam
9. Can i have the 2 books and the DVD please?
10.
Cheers. Do you have any pics of your 1212L on it? Ive got the same cab and might consider one.
Yeah can take a quick pic over the weekend. I stand the cab on it's end and it's plenty big enough, dunno how it would be with really deep cabs though
11. Mine's only the standard size Gramma as i have a Schroeder 1212r. It's very stable, the foam doesn't compress at all. I'd use it with an appropriately sized 4x10 with no worries It's pretty well made, although i don't know how someone could mess up sticking some foam to some carpet!
12. My bad, sorry! Thought you'd just shortened your name!
13. I'll take the X600 if that's ok, again will need postage. Cheers!
14.
how large is tony hadley??
This explains it all!
15.
does that mean you can charge more for playin gigs now?
Err... less i think! At one of the aformentioned venues we were playing a wedding and were a bit concerned about the size of the stage (big enough for drums and backline basically). The organiser got very shirty and huffed "well, it was big enough for Tony Hadley!" Cue 4 musicians rolling around the floor with laughter!
16.
Actually this guy just gets better.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/yamaha-bex4-semi-ele...emZ200386946650 "This bass is a star in its own right, it has been on 4 UK tours and has been on the stage where the likes of The Beatles and Nirvana have once stood. ". Pure Gold
That's nothing, i've performed on stages where Tony Hadley and Simply Red have once stood. Beat that!
17. Give Delbert a shout, he was looking for something similar not so long ago
18. The dunlop lemon oil has the little applicator on it so you'd need good access to the fingerboard, i woudn't worry about taking the strings off, it's something you'll have to do eventually!
19. +1 I have an ebonol board on my Jazz and it sounds very natural, definitely does that fretless sound well. Does mark up a bit with rounds on though, not as much as rosewood but it's not as bulletproof as Pau Ferro or i'm guessing real Ebony
20.
Nope, I wouldn't leave them off for long myself. The job can be done just as well one at a time if you're concerned. I get a quiet satisfaction from lemon oiling a dry board. Perhaps I'm a little sad
I thought i was the only one! It's a warm fuzzy feeling when the crusty old lifeless fretboard comes up nice and dark. Aww.....
21. Pics up as promised, if you need any more from different angles give us a shout Like i said, a bit cheeky for £50!
22. That looks stunning, good score mate! I'm a sucker for dark wood finishes anyway but that's beautiful If you fancy a fretless sister for it have a look ay the link down there \/ \/ \/ \/ \/
23.
But do you think you need Auralex foam? I would have thought that any foam would do; nothing special about Auralex, I think. I'm using offcuts from rubber stable matting one and a half inch thick strips. Works very well.
That's what i was gonna do. We've got some offcuts of various types of foam at work so i reckon i've got enough to build a few, even got some of the egg-box type stuff too
24. Basically gives you a consistent sound on any stage. It's an isolation platform, i bought mine after playing a venue with a large hollow wooden stage and getting uncontrollable wolf notes on some strings, making the intro to Under Pressure sound horrible They do work, played similar problematic stages since i bought it any haven't had any problems
