My biggest gripe with PMT is the parking situation so if it's any better at GuitarGuitar then I may pop in

Personally, I prefer the top ones, but that's just me

Came today. Lovely thing. Fretboard needed a bit of oil but now looks and plays very nice. No neck dive to speak of and I'm using the worst strap I have (the rest have straplocks and obviously the bass doesn't yet). Only thing to be changed is strings, so any suggestions would be appreciated (do have an unopened set of Daddario Chromes as well as unopened Rotosound Flats).

Gorgeous that is. Very different colour(s) but very nice. I played a red 4 string one with the white racing stripes at PMT in Birmingham and thought it was lovely, so maybe one day?

The only thing putting me off pulling the trigger on an Epi Classic Pro at the minute is the thought of the new ones coming out and dwarfing it. Wonder if they'll do them in white...

There are a number of tunes without "proper instruments" that I like. That being said there are many more that I dislike. For me there has to be some level of talent involved in the making of the music, so if someone's talented with the use of a laptop and keyboard so be it. I'd rather listen to that than a really bad guitar group down the pub that calls themselves a band.

Just started reading - on chapter 3 and enjoying it very much. The bit about the 10 watt amp nearly killed me because I've been there xD

I have a CV 50s P Bass that is superb. Some La Bella flats on there has turned it into a very good instrument. The only problem for me is that the pickup is a little bit quiet and not as growly as I'd like so its not yet been used for a gig, but still a great instrument.

So either: Sire Marcus Miller M3 Squier CV 50s P Bass Bitsa P Bass "Bleeding Sunflower" Jazz bass (comes everywhere with me) - look at the build thread cabled into the pedaltrain: TC Polytune (must have) EHX Big Muff Pi Tone City Golden Plexi - yes, a guitar distortion, used for one song usually. Boss OC-3 Tone City Angel Wing Chorus - yes, a guitar chorus, used for one or two songs. (all powered by Stagg plug and daisy chain) Into Amp and Cab Fender Rumble 500 (Vintage and contour switches engaged, just a touch of drive dialled in, EQ left nearly flat) Orange 410 cab I think that's it.

Not known for his bass playing ability or killer bass lines but I love Jared Followill too. Funny chap who only picked up a bass because his brothers asked him to tour with them. Never took a single lesson, just locked himself in the basement while bandmates put stickers on the notes he should play. By the time he was 16 he didn't know how to play bass but had an EP released.

these do look lovely, but if I had one it'd have to have the custom paintwork like Mani from Stone Roses.
