  1. Not meant as a tribute but I always think of Paul Simonon when I pickup my battered 63AVRI
  2. Interesting, they look hugely different but as you say the comp and other effects aren't great and the comp is important to what I'm going for. anyway enough of my thread hi jack
  3. Yeah 🤷‍♂️ Been playing. flyrig is too big and I don't need/want the other fx can probably just continue managing without but I do like the form factor the DP3X cheers for the advice
  4. Out of interest how vintagey can the dUG sound? I just love its small flyrig esq footprint with the tuner etc but can't imagine I'd get on with the tone of it (basically I want a VT bass or BDDI in that same small format with comp and tuner)

  6. Sorry missed this, will post and according to mono site it's 6 inches wide. I have no issue getting my 2 by 2 ric headstock in there
  7. Great condition, barely used, basically just going to keep my slickbag.
  8. Really I'm looking for as small a gig bag as I can for my Rickenbacker
  9. Is it specifically smaller for the Shortscale? Or full on standard MIM bag?
  10. Quick favour to ask, can anyone with one of these post a pic of the gigbag it came with please. Thanks
  11. Barely used, comes fitted with black Schaller Straplocks (can probably remove but also locktighted on so if you use them it's perfect for you) Cheers
  12. I have that case and that trolley but I don't know if I trust it with my current db, it definitely took a chunk out of my old one
  13. Mint condition with box, slight crack on the battery clip cover thing, doesn't affect functionality. Bought for double bass to be like Miles Mosley, turns out you have to also be good at playing.... who knew. Cheers
  14. Great opportunity for someone to own a YOB (year of birth) bass, this is actually 10 days older than me with a neck date of 19th June 1984 and a body date 10th July 1984. Made in the Fullerton factory, all original except the ashtray that was added professionally and just makes it look way cooler. Comes with a good condition Slickbag Gigbag It's the flatter, wider, p profile, very different and faster feeling than my AVRI. Neck is smooth and straight with no dings and a nice low action. Currently sporting D'addario Chromes. Not in a rush to sell this, I bought it for my 30th birthday and am just leaning to having one bass (my rickenbacker 4003) and if I own this I don't play the Ric. A pleasant 8.8lbs Only marks are the 2 small chips on the side near the jack socket (see pics), fitted with Schaller Straplocks.
  15. If that had had wheels I'd take it
  16. Throwing this out to the masses, just wondering if anyone with a Ric 4003 can try it in a mono guitar sleeve (you know like if you just happen to have these 2 random unrelated items lying around) got the bass sleeve and I'm thinking man this has gotta be close in the guitar version Also love my Ric, strung with Chromes and sounds huge, really thuddy and thick. Moving it currently to be my main instrument.
  17. Mint condition with box Not a lot else to say, Michael League uses one, maybe you should
  18. Just wondering if anyone in the Manchester/Cheshire area has a PJB Cub or Double Four I could try out I'd really like to try one, can offer moderately boring conversation and an opportunity to play a 100 year old double bass as compensation for your time
