1.
OMG! Wooh! I got a name check! COOOEL! ;o) - You are quite correct though... I personally really couldnt be dealing with piles of pedals and controllers all over the floor. I much prefer my POD xt rack and the TC GForce. Everything gets done in a rack and controlled by a single MIDI footboard with CC outboard if necessary. Just my preference though. Not saying it is right.. just uber-tidy for me.
You have to bare in mind you sound rubbish though
 2.
Only worth the investment for a pro or extreme - like far, far worse than Tayste or Dood - gear whore who needs to combine different amps, pre's, rackmount fx, stomp boxes etc. in any configuration imaginable.
Actually I'm getting close to this as I'm switching basses, amps, pedals and levels of blend from my board But I'm considering the T-rex Mac1 as it has 2 blendable effect loops

 12. You get a better synth tone using Octave, Fuzz and Filter Also good is the Subdecay Noise box its like an input section from a 70's analog synth but its a bit hard to control.
 13. These go for about £130 ish new apart from you can't find them in any shops. I'll have a dig around fro my clip for you.
 14. Yeah fair enough I'm just trying to justify this as a 2nd one as I bought one earlier this week

 17.
Actually, they have a point.... what the hell *do* you need 7 basses for? Mark.
1 per woman to beat them to death with for moaning at me about this(2) 1's a Ric so doesn't count 2 in standard tuning for studio work 2 dropped a tone for live work.
 18.
I get less ear ache from the wife for having too many basses lying around. All together now "Why have you got so many? You can only play one at a time....."
Only I get said ear ache in stereo from my Mum and my G/F ................... what could you possibly need 7 basses for.

 21.
I strongly disagree on 2 things: I'd never put the Fuzz before the 105q. That gives it a synthy effect that loses all the distortion when the wah is engaged and that's not what I want. I want the Timmy C effect, not the Cliff Burton one. Might be what some people want, but swaping those 2 around gives such different results that it's not a matter of what sounds better but what result suits you best. It's also so easy to spot the difference it's really worth to try and pick by yourself, you'd have to be deaf not to have a favourite... And I'd never use the compressor after all those effects either. I used to prefer it after the wah, then I decided I preferred it before. Not a big difference. But to me it definitely makes it all sound worse after chorus or fuzz. Not to mention that it maximizes any noise that goes into it, so a fuzz before it's pretty much the worse you could do regarding noise in the signal... Ultimately, try it all and chose with your own ears! Most of it is pretty easy to decide once you hear it.
Apart from your minimising the signal going into your fuzz and you lose a lot of touch response from a fuzz, it is all personaly preference at the end of the day I love dirt pedals and just have transparent limting from a decent rack compressor. Personally on the wah if it was me I'd have dist before and after it or stick it in a wobo loop so youi can reverse it and do both, then you get best of both worlds.
