1. So every year or so I try to have a noise jam with some friends, generally I rent a room in a church so I have the room ambiance that adds to a recording. I thought you'd like to see all the gear dotted about. It was a shame as due to postal strikes over here in the UK I didn't have the following pedals Tone Factor Fuzzsaw Tone Factor 442 (Bass) Aria FL-5 80's Proco Rat Catalinbread Serrano Picasso Boost Catalinbread Hyperpak Which was a shame, but everything still went well and I had a lot of fun and the recordings worked out alright. Here are some of the better clips from the day. These were recorded using a Shure SM58 in the middle of the room run into Garageband I haven't done any editing or anything to it which is quite apparent. The whole point of the day is to have some fun and make some noise and nothing is discussed or planned before hand so it is rough and obviously here I'm making excuses in case you all think it's crap but to be honest I'm pretty damn proud of it. 3. Your Mum lent it me Fenderhead
4. Don't know you try building 200 pedals a month.
5.
a sexual device, such as a vibrator
Well Done But me thinks that you saw the same thread on TB or some one told you Not Safe For Work or People Under 18
6. You're all still wrong I'm afraid
7. Nope
8. Nope
9.
Here's my board then. It's a bit tight but managed to get everything on there except my tuner, I don't mind that though. Multicomp > Cream pie > LTD Silver > Bluebeard > UF-01 > VBF2 with a 18v Cat in the loop. I haven't had a chance to give it a good kicking yet in a band setting, so I'm looking forward to that. I'll probably end up moving it about a bit at some point.
AWESOME and I don't say that a lot
10. What was used to make the sound other then bass and a delay pedal
11. Nope
12. Tone Factor 442 is my personally fav. I'd let you come round and try it but its on loan to someone else but I'll let you know when I get it back and you can try it.
13. Completely different but I prefer it to the Q-tron. But different sounds completely really
14. Nope
15. Nope
16. Nope
17. No to all answers keep guessing
18. Now this is something new I picked up and you have to guess the effect I'm using to produce this sound http://myselfalone.com/tayste2000/Weird_Effect.mp3 I will tell you what I've used except for the mystery item. Passive 60's RI MIM Fender Jazz with Flats, tone rolled all the way back and neck pickup with a Digitech PDS2000 set for about 5ish repeats at less than a second just for that bit of ambience then it is straight into my computer hence the odd pops and stuff dotted about but you'll get the gist. So guess the effect
19. Nope still being developed, but they are busy people
20. What ever he was smoking when he designed the Q-tron wasn't anywhere as good as what he was smoking when he designed the Mutron
21. Other decent pedals that are similar sounding ish MI Audio GI Fuzz Tone Factor Fuzzsaw - http://myselfalone.com/tayste2000/ToneFactorFuzzSaw.mp3 Sonny & Sanford Bluebeard BYOC Big Beaver - http://myselfalone.com/tayste2000/BYOC%20Big%20Beaver.mp3 Anything by Skreddy The gate will not work well, it will cut your sustain down, sometimes making your playing spluttery, there will be a tonal difference with it on and off. There are only 2 noise gates I've ever liked the first built into the Subdecay Noise Box because you'd blow your amp up with out it and it stops noise when you hold your strings, second is in the Rane DC24 Rack Compressor and again it only comes on when you hold your strings.
22.
What do you recommend for a noisy Russian Big Muff which is on most of the time with gain near max?
An Euthymia ICBM Fuzz I shall repeat my self again no point spending more on a second pedal to fix the short comings of a cheaper first pedal better off combining the money and buying something decent.
