  1. I just listened to the above under headphones, and it was pretty good for live. Nice to see talented musos like Finn and ex Petty gitwrist Mike Cambell still working
  2. Frank, do you happen to know the 2 pubs in S.O.S called the top and bottom Alex ? I lived in Westcliff when i was in my late teens, one of the regular drinking holes was the top alex in S.O.S, also known for various other substances
  3. I admire your skills - i would struggle to make a shelf, let alone a bass case. Even more so with a strange shape.
  4. Yowser - one of my early jobs , age about 17, was in Hornchurch, and later a job in Romford. Great memories PS my dad and stepmum live in Basildon, and they dont give a rats buttocks about calling it Basildon.
  5. Maybe occasional for some , but i got loads when using the search function as described above, but havent encountered any since you put your clog on it.
  6. I know it's old skool, but i loved the Adrenalinn 2. Myself and a gitwrist buddy recorded some noodles with it. Just messing around to see if we could expand on the noodles at a later date. It's an FX box too, so not a stand alone beat machine, but the drum tracks are pretty good https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/roger-linn-adrenalinn-ii 2 of the noodles in question https://www.soundclick.com/html5/v4/player.cfm?songID=12701905 https://www.soundclick.com/html5/v4/player.cfm?songID=7509632
  7. I'd be more worried about the strength of those necks. The guy who keeps hitting the jack with his hand would make matchwood of this freaky looking thing
  8. I just tried a search in one of the forums, and made liberal use of the back button and changing pages within the search,, and i got no errors. You may have nailed it
  9. That green is horrid . It's a nauseating clash with the tort scratchplate. £53 is about right
  10. I approve of the violence. He will have been taught a valuable lesson, and maybe won't treat people with such disdain in the future. Not everyone he's nasty to will turn the other cheek. Psalm 101.
  11. Utterly brilliant !! I want one, mum.
  12. I get loads of those. Seem to be more when doing a search, then clicking on the threads and then posts, and trying to use the back button to carry on reading the next page
  13. A heat gun is definately the quickest way to strip a bass, but beware. It's very easy to either get the heat gun too close, or leave it one spot too long. You will get a burnt patch if either of those things happen. If it's a light burn, you will be able to sand it back, but thats depending.
  14. At a guess, i'd say that most of the bass' life , the first few frets has taken most of the wear, probably because that's where it's been played the most. You don't have to wear much of the meat of a fret to cause slight scratching of the board
  15. Just as weird, there's no bump button in the ' Sell Anything ' forum, but you can make replies
  16. It's a left hand neck on a right hand body. The nut looks like it's been changed for a right hand version. You can see that low E has been changed to the furthest tuning key. They're never wound on the last key, always the first. So the neck is def, as said, upside down .
  17. Yup, and i agree with you - headstock repair
  18. He mentioned the headstock repair in the description
  19. Yup I have the gold cloth covering and the balck and white as above. Not tried the platinums, so might give them a shot. I like stiff - matron
