1. The M5 metros are very good, it's not dependant from batch to batch, All metros I've played are great. Mine is my first bass for nearly everything. And I know this will be a bass that will acquired that kind of Mojo after years... as my main one.
2.
Plus one. The American Standards since 2008, and probably more so since 2012, do not need any upgrades, because they won't essentially be upgrades. If I find a nice 2013 P or J with the new pups to go with my 2009/11 P and J, I'll be putting the money down.
+1 Since 2008, and more recetly 2012, Us P & J are very good in their own sound. I sold all my fenders mainly due to weight on their 5ers.
3. Valenti's instruments are top notch !!! Crazy that a bass like this one was not sold just in 1 hour at this price ! Lack of one string for me though
4.
You could simply read the OP.... E
Nope, except the nut width, all is a copy paste from bass guitar magazine, and the review is based on a 4 stringer. Reason why i would like the weight of the 5er.
5. Wow, what an interesting bass ! Don't know if I like or dislike, but sound interesting in term or pu config. It's a shame the weight seems over 10 lbs. I saw 10lbs for the 4 string version, what about the 5 ?
6. Could you send a link to the web of the luthier and the mics maker as well ? Seems an interesting bass though.

8. I bought a sadowsky bass from Bill (dmz) Everything was fine from discussion to sending etc ... he made me pictures I requested (bass, and the detailed package in order to unpack in front of the carrier) The bass is nearly in immaculate condition as described. I hope to deal with bill again as it was so smooth. Buy with confidence.
9. The PJ configuration is more usefull. You just want the P, so cut the J ... that's so simple But, if you've got the P, and only the P and you want a little the J, you're out ... So why to have only the P when you can have the P and the J
10. Wow, I have to admit that I like it !

12. es un basso muy interessante que se vende aqui ! (asturias son una destination para mi vacaciones porque tengo familia en Oviedo !)
13. Ok. I ve got mine now and must admit it is a very good bass I didn(t saw exactly how the preamp works but Now, I understood, Only boost functions, no cut in this one ... So preamp "ON" , but bass and treble OFF, you've got the sound of the bass as in passive mode. But when you turn them, you ear the difference, and you can have a boost until +18 dB, so is it to amplify sub-woofers ? 18 dB is too much in my Opinion, but sure you can have this wooomph under your feet if you want it ! Mine necessitated a setup, and now, it plays wonderfully, So I was thinking to resell it quickly but maybe I will keep it a little, and maybe a lot for the future.

15. I use a little tecamp Puma 500 (class D SS) for gigs and rehearsals cause it's lighweight and easy to transport. and I use a SAdowsky SA200 (200W all tubes) at home cause it sounds whaouou yihah !" and cause it looks beautiful in my home also standing on his cab. the best of both worlds adapted to the situation
16. I've got mine right now and could tell the B string is the best you can find on a fender. (though I didn't play a roscoe beck) The preamp is fine too, with boost only functions and it boost !

18. Ho, I found the ART headtap that you can put instead a cab or in parallel with it in order to have a load on the amp. So I could use my amp at home with this little thing ! and it's passive, so no more need of a power Have you tried it before ?
19. So in fact , i will not take a bass and stuff when traveling by plane Always a hassle to take a bass But when i move by train or car it's not a problem and running onto Batteries is not necessary I wil always have a plug in hotels etc .,. So i see Phil jones bass buddy Ebs microbass Avalon U5 But prefer the avalon cause I could use it with other stuff
