1. Dang you were not mistaking, this is really something I would like! No cash though until my bass goes
2. I feel like replacing the pickup for either an SPB-1 or SPB-3, replacing the pots because they're quite old (not the covers though) and a new bridge too, possibly badass II Not sure whether to sand off the body and re-lacquer it. It's quite damaged as you can see in the added picture. I will definitely stay with the colours (eg: not painting it).
3. I have my Ibanez Roadgear 600 which is an amazing bass for the money. And it still surprises me how well it does! It's a matter of luck and indeed: 80:20
4. I think I want to get this one pimped as I have no cash to buy another 'proper' precision bass and it plays lovely. Has anyone done this to their Roadstar and what was the result?
5. MuseMatt

SOLD.

Could my Van der End interest you by any chance?
6. Amazing basses, definately worth it if you want to check out a 5-string! I just didn't like 5 strings so I ended up selling mine. Nonetheless: great bass! have a bump!
7. If you're into jazzes and fancy a (shipping) trade, check my sell (signature link)...
8. probably not too well-known across the channel
9. If you know someone who wants my bass I'd buy this off you! Even so, I can give that person a discount if you make it happen
10. [s]So, because it's not fitting into my current style, this one's gotta go. It's a Dutch build, by luthier André van der End. Built in 1994, with his custom wound pickups and pre-amp. Switchable between active/passive, in passive mode the bright boost works as a tone knob. Ash/Alder body, maple neck, Schaller tuners. The neck is quite thick, it took me some getting used to, because I was used to my Ibanez neck. Shouldn't be any problem but worth mentioning I guess. What else can I say, it's a great bass, had the metal nut replaced by a black one as you can see in the gigging picture. Comes with a (different) strap with straplocks, and will be send in a hardcase. I think this bass is really suitable for anyone who likes funk and jazz; unfortunately I'm more into rock so I can't afford to keep this one. Recording was done without any EQ on the bass, passive, straight line in. Looking around 800 pounds exl. shipping costs. Will be shipped in a hardcase, which comes with the bass. Also open for trade offers, mostly looking for a P-bass, but any bass which covers rock from the 1960s till now may be offered.[/s]
11. They're great basses, definately also worth pimping! Courtesy bump for you
12. Fair enough, if you're a rock man like me this wouldn't please you. This bass is a true jazz / funk machine! It's got a really good build quality (website of the luthier) Good luck selling this beautiful bass!
13. Would something like this interest you?
14. Sorry to disappoint any hoping people: it's been sold already!
15. I did the same when I had my 5 string and it worked pretty well for me! But now I have a BEAD tuning on my Ibanez P bass, and that's pretty ace too!
16. No particular reason other than that it doesn't suit my needs really. It's a great bass by all means, but not for the rock music I play.
17. thank you all so much for this; I'm definately going to keep this in mind! Someone offered me a Fender '57 reissue as well, that's more interesting for sure!
18. well the guy selling think smy bass is only worth 700 euros, so I think we won't be able to make a deal there....
19. I'm parting with my Van der End Jazz, and I just got offered a Rickenbacker 2020 to trade with. I play mostly rock music. This thing is supposedly quite rare, but I have no idea about the sound. What do you think?
20. Received mine today, gave it a fair go, and going to keep it as I have no other FX at the moment apart from a Boss OC-2. I think when it comes to valve simulation this pedal has basically got everything you want, and it really has the wooly Ampeg sound you would expect from a VT pedal.
21. really looking forward to trying out Flip Top Setting used around 2:00, it sounds really beefy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_be9GSlt_eQ
22. Managed to buy one for 110 euros, should come in somewhere next week. Can't wait!
