How can you safeguard against scams on Fb Marketplace?
There's a bass for sale on there I really would like, but I don't know how to safeguard against getting scammed. 😟-
Just never pay by Bank Transfer or Friends and Family. Mindboggling people still take the risk despite daily reports of people being scammed through those routes in FB trade/sale groups.
Anyone bothered about £2 fees isn't worth dealing with.
I've sold/bought on Facebook groups/marketplace more than I've bought/sold on here tbh (not much point paying fees to list something when things usually sell quicker on FB and free to list) and I've never once had any issues as I just avoid the routes that get people scammed.

Can anyone help identify the strings that the Acinonyx bass is shipped with? I believe them to be D’Addario Nickel Round Strings but not sure of the actual ones

@Lozz196 I can understand not wanting to post an instrument, it's a hassle and there are extra risks. But refusing to box up and post a standard sized pedal, especially when you live in the middle of nowhere, is just backwards. I don't think I'd have sold a single thing in my 10+ years of being on here or Facebook if I didn't post pedals.

@Jean-Luc Pickguard Yes I did! They said hopefully the same thing. I'll be sending it off to them in a week or two. Silver lining is at least I did this to a UK-made pedal, I suppose!

I had one guy with mutual friends message me last week saying he was in London for the night and was currently on a night out, so asked if he could grab the pedal in the morning/when he gets home depending on time. He was so enthusiastic about the arrangement he went as far as saying: "this is almost like fate!"... Of course, I never heard from him again after that evening. Makes me laugh what rubbish they come out with at times.

@skej21 Ridiculous lol. My main problem at the minute is people messaging me "Can I collect today please?" and then not even reading my reply for 24 hours... and then asking the same thing the next day... Tiresome.

Music shops near London that sell speaker cables (not the bigger ones, the ones with tips like instrument cables)? Neither BassGallery or any Denmark Street shops have any listed. Andertons do, but its a bit further out

How long do Fender typically keep models in production?
I'm really interested in getting hold of a ultra jazz bass V in mocha burst in the next year or so but not sure if they'll still be manufacturing them.-
@ead unfortunate but true. I remember my mate had a MIM jazz when we were younger and it was a great bass, but I got one recently and didn't like it at all. Ended up trading it.
