1. Turn it up as loud as it will go - when the neighbours knock and complain tell them "yeah this is what loud really sounds like"
2. Whoever you choose, never use XDP for anything.
3. My basses are "weathered" anyway, but even so - w***ers.
4. Good pedals these - fun to mod, good luck with sale
5. My Squier VMJ required a fret level and full set up before it was playable to my liking, fortunately the shop (yes a shop... remember them?!) I bought it from did it for free
6. When they recorded "In Rainbows", they realised they had to have a radical plan to distribute it for free because no one would actually buy it, it was that bad.
7.
But there is also a hard core of Barefaced-haters on Basschat who seem determined to slag them off at any opportunity, frequently using wildly-exaggerated comments and criticisms. If these people were slightly more restrained and sensible in their tactics, they might engage in a more sensible, constructive conversation. In that case, Barefaced users might not feel it necessary to point out just how wild some of those criticisms are.
The exact same can be said about Fender, Ashdown, Hartke and the many, many other manufacturers that receive exaggerated claims and criticisms on here as well.
ROHS bunch would shoot me for saying this, but lead solder all the way. I ran out last month and have been using some sh*tty 'lead free' stuff from Craplins (hey, desperate times) and it's absolutely rubbish to work with. Just my 2p worth! Use it in a well ventilated area though* *whilst wearing a mask, gloves, goggles, condom etc...
I just hold my breath for half an hour
10. Are you using the valve drive, which is slightly distorted?
11.
Hey all, Bought my cab at the start of the year & the original feet fell of after a few weeks of use (delicately placing it in the boot of a car!). I have been sent thicker screws and a few have fallen off again! Just wondering if anyone has any advice on a more permanent fix/upgrade to the cab feet? Thanks!
I'd send it back to barefaced, tell them to fix it and stop penny pinching on cheap sh*te hardware.
