My Squier VMJ required a fret level and full set up before it was playable to my liking, fortunately the shop (yes a shop... remember them?!) I bought it from did it for free

When they recorded "In Rainbows", they realised they had to have a radical plan to distribute it for free because no one would actually buy it, it was that bad.

[/quote] The exact same can be said about Fender, Ashdown, Hartke and the many, many other manufacturers that receive exaggerated claims and criticisms on here as well.

Are you using the valve drive, which is slightly distorted?
