1. Pickup mounting foam (12mm thick) with adhesive backing Set of 2 pieces, approx 2" x 5/8" each £3 posted per set Custom sizes also available
2. First option, 64p each (+ postage), should solder straight into the board as a direct replacement http://www.bitsbox.co.uk/resistors/potentiometers.html
3. I have a few in my spares box, send me a PM if you would like one. Values I've got are .047uF or .022uF
4. Some good info here: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/41568-p-bass-treble-bleed-mod
5. I asked him if he could put 8 strings on it for people with really small hands. No reply.
6. I wouldn't say the OC-2 is a clean octave, especially if you're trying to get away from the synthy sound.
7.
yep thats the one ive tried.
Was it a glass fuse and tested OK? Next step is to check the power board (see above), but stay away from the big capacitors!
8. Where the power socket plugs into the amp, is there a holder below that? You might need a flat screwdriver to prise it out. Something that looks like this:
9. I know you've mentioned checking fuses, does this include the internal ones? Sometimes the time delay ones blow with normal use.
10. I wired something similar into my P-bass: 220pF cap and *I think* a 100k resistor
11.
I'll take your word on the volume, but 1 cubic km would weigh 1,000 x 1000 x 1000 tonnes (1 cubic metre weighs 1 tonne...) Multiply by your 1.3 billion and we have a serious lot of zeros, and no idea of what such a number could be called (other than 'astronomical'..?). Have I missed something..? Corrections welcomed. (Don't mind me; carry on regardless...)
1000x1000x1000 = 1billion (1e9) multiplied by 1.3billion (1.3e9) = 1.3e18 = 1.3 quintillion tonnes (original mistake of 1e18 being a trillion amended - mix up of long and short scales )
12.
I considered that, and decided that the amount of fish consumed couldn't be as big as the amount of massive boats being put in the sea. they weigh hundreds of thousands of tons, if not millions! and let's not forget the freight carriers, which regularly carry tons and tons of crap over from china. You get enough of them and it's going to become noticeable.
You have got to be trolling me Combined the oceans are approx 1.3 billion cubic kilometres. Even assuming pure water (sea water is much heavier) that's 1.3 quintillion tons. That's a lot of ships
13.
I don't think it's impossible. It's not just ships though, is it? So much waste gets put into the sea every day, especially in developing nations, who treat seas and lakes like a sewage (and more shockingly, drinking water) system. I don't believe much of what i have been spoon-fed on climate change, because it's mostly bollocks.
I'm not convinced on climate change either, but saying sea levels are rising due to putting things in the sea is absurd, sorry. It's probably negated by what we take out of the sea anyway.
14.
I'm listening. Go.
Do you think the number of ships will raise the sea level by even a measurable amount? Never mind enough to cause any kind of flooding?
15.
also all this "Sea levels rising" crap, how about stop dumping stuff in the sea, especially massive boats!
I sincerely hope this is a joke lmao
16.
Theres 2 inputs active and passive, im using a passive bass (Yamaha RBX170) through the passive input Sounds fine, just worried it might damage it long term
If you're worried, try the bass through the active input which may give you more control with the gain knob
17. Does it have 2 input sockets (high and low)? Try the other socket as your input signal might be too loud, I can never remember which one you use for a hot signal
Hi Protium cheers for this. How come it still works without the black wires ? That pic is exactly what I'm planning but with the stomp switches sticking out of the top of my board Also one last question: I need 0.5mm stranded cable for this ?
If you're using a metal case, that provides all the ground connections. If you're using a non-conductor you'll need all the black wires. I normally use the 7/0.2mm stranded wire from Bitsbox: http://www.bitsbox.co.uk/cable/cable.html
19. The rubber O-ring around the barrel jack had perished on my Rapture so I ordered a replacement. The jack needed tightening from the inside so I took the opportunity to get some pics
