  1. Indeed, but Parcel Force CEO refused to pay more than the "legal" £100, so as the seller, I managed to get a full refund by my courier and its insurance company.
  2. It also happened with the same company for a stolen in the van two parts rare hi-fi amplifier. So it's not a rare occurence : Le Foyer is a real good insurance company caring for their customers, that's as simple as that. And I only had this two issues in a bit more than 30 years of buying and selling lots and loads of items (more than 2000 items over the years).
  3. Typical earthing issue, and as @discreet mentioned it, it CAN kill. Pub and venue owners don't give a sh*t about their electrical installation, so checking the earth before even plugging in is a good idea.
  4. Totally agree with you, except about insurance, but I guess it depends on where you are located. As I already wrote, I always take the extra insurance and when I need to insurance up to 4300 Euros, I use the post of Luxembourg and never had any issue when it comes to make it work : ask @binky_bass as he got a full refund when my very rare Aries arrived to him in pieces (in my bomb proof package, but not plane height proof sadly), even if ParfelForce who was the culprit was in a total deny process. Read the thread about it or my feedback. So insurances do work, but you have to choose the right one, and that's the biggest part of the problem. So now back to @Dood : do you have any news ?
  5. A little hand pushing is needed as there is no spring. It must move.
  6. Your bridge is a Gotoh 206, aka Pro. To adjust the intonation or your string height, slightly loosen the screw #9, then screw or unscrew the screw #7 just as explained in the video above and finally when everything is fine tighten back the screw #9, but don't force as you'll break the saddle (it's a known issue with bridge).
  7. Did the cymbal win ?
  8. And what about the upper left of the headstock ?
  9. Another UPS perfect job ? 🤔
  10. When I'm shipping things, whatever they are, I don't play the lottery nor Russian roulette, I take the extra real insurance because guns don't kill people, people kill people.
  11. Do I have to stop as I already have six six strings basses permanently at home, the seventh being a seven strings bass, and so on... ?
  12. He is simply making money through YouTube as he already has 1 million subscribers !!!
  13. So I bought a Peterson StroboClip HD and must say it's dead accurate, quite fast and has lots of sweetened tunings including Buzz Feiten ones. But the TC Electronic Polytune Clip is faster, a very little bit less accurate due to the LED linear strobe tuning (as opposed to the circular moving strobe tuning on the Peterson) and way much cheaper. My advice woulb be to buy the TC Electronic Polytune Clip for live music and general purpose(s). If you are into precise setups and need these sweetened tunings, then go for the Peterson Stroboclip HD and pay the extra money. Now, I've got 3 excellent clip on tuners (2 TC Electronic and 1 Peterson).
  14. Here is the little trick I used to learn when I was working as a Truck Allocator Clerk (logistics clerk), simply write this and sign, you will be protected, no kidding : SUBJECT TO CONTROL. It's faster than negotiating with the driver, who is not allowed to refuse you the right to open and check the parcel, that said. Knowing the law and throwing it at their face can be useful too, sometimes.
  15. Neither do I. Neither do I. Neither do I. Neither do I. Either do I. Dammit square !
  16. Look here, I knew I saw some : https://www.zikinf.com/annonces/dispannonce.php?annonce=1572593 I can translate anything for you.
  17. Sadly, the answer is : welcome to the real world, ... a world of total incompetence. The last great sentence from one of the numerous UPS driver, last week : "You have a newly painted facade, that's why I missed the delivery". 🤨 Hey man, the house is still there, at the same place, in the same street, with the same number and I'm still bearing the same name !!! Extraordinary stupid driver, like most of them...
  18. Check this out : And this tribute to "Sound of Noise" :
  19. The guy likes challenging as he is always trying ridiculous or weird basses with some taste and fun, I must admit.
  20. Without discussion, the Leduc basses as they are simply perfect for me, especially the ones in my signature. I'm coming back from Christophe's home right now and we had a long talk about lutherie, its influence on sound and his new internal preamp. We have also become friends over the years. So the Masterpiece (MP or HMP for headless Masterpiece) fretless, the PAD (only fretted as there was no fretless), the U-basse (UMM) fretless and my 6 strings EUB called Moaï are my favourites. And this Ken Lawrence Associate 5 which was the best all maple neck ever.
  21. Yes, but it's a pain in the *ss to move, you know these stones are so heavy.
  22. This is a very good idea, being mostly a fretless player for more than 3 decades, I always like to check my intonation (which is very accurate) and tuners are great for it. That said a clip on tuner will be a real pity to watch while playing. That's why, for practising, I suggested this for PC as you can play and watch the screen at the same time : https://www.tomasboril.cz/tbstrobetuner/ Or the paying Peterson app ($9.99 USD) : https://www.petersontuners.com/products/istrobosoft/
