  1. Photos are back, see previous page.
  2. 😲 That neck! 😍
  3. From the TrickFish website: J-Core-2B is a 2 band active preamp with TOP mounted jack J-Core-4B is a 4 band active preamp with SIDE mounted jack
  4. Brian, there's a rare Vigier Arpège Delta Metal fretless at Bassdirect at the moment. 😉 The Benedetti pickups and the Vigier soft case are from the 90's and the preamp is not original. https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/product/vigier-arpege-i-delta-metal-fretless-1982-pre-owned/
  5. They are not exactly the latest incarnation of the Mike Pope preamp as Mike Pope sold his company to TrickFish something like 2 years ago, but they are indeed FlexCore-like preamps on a Jazz Bass plate. That said the FlexCore preamps offer more options than the pure TrickFish preamps, but the final tone is very very very similar.
  6. I'm none of them nor a gamer, but I'm definitely a nerd or an old geek as my wife likes to say. 🤪
  7. Again what an excellent job performed here. 👌🏻😍👍🏻
  8. What about the Le Fay Remington Steele, the BassLab L-Bow basses or the Leduc U-Basse ? Nerdy basses for sure...
  9. So, it's an early Passion II as I said in @TheMoose selling ad. I've written it a lot of times that the only way to date correctly an early Vigier is to remove the bridge pickup and simply read the date hand written or embossed... 😉 Superb "restoration" work @BassTool !
  10. Sure Brian, they were very expensive back then, but the high craftsmanship justifies the price. When I said fraction, it's because the American models were 3 to 4 or even 5 times more expensive...
  11. This is originally an American brand from the 90's crafting high end guitars and basses, some with composite material too. These Korean models are excellent too for a fraction of the price. Here is the link to their Custom Shop models to show you the quality level of these instruments: https://iguitar.com/CustomShop/custom.asp GLWYS Brian!
  12. Ernie Ball's carbon footprint must be frightening! 🤦🏻
  13. Mine came directly from San Louis Obispo, the Ernie Ball factory, so I guess it's true, and a bit stupid as the instruments have to go there from Indonesia and then are sent individually through FedEx to their buyer... Apparently, they put the flatwound strings at the Ernie Ball facility and make the setup too. I think I've reached my personal pollution quota in late December for a complete year because of this purchase...
  14. Thanks @agedhorse, this is the way I always proceed for recording as the plug-in reverbs you can get nowadays are really excellent, but for the bass duet project I'm playing in, a tiny bit of reverb helps both basses (a fretted and a fretless) for live and rehearsals too, hence the question. That said, I own an FKT Audio The Fretless pedal that includes a reverb, a chorus and a mid booster, so perfect for me, but my pal on the fretted would rather prefer a combo or a head with integrated reverb for "ease" of use.
  15. I you want to bin that crap Vigier on the right, I'll take it... 😂🤪😉🤔
  16. Excellent one @bass_dinger !
  17. By the way, the TrickFish Bullhead 1K is fanless and it's quite small, light and bloody powerful. I had one, but preferred the GR Bass One 800 I had at the same time.
  18. Really nice work and nice bass too. I always love to see a Ric, but their ergonomics is absolutely not for me: hey, that's life. 😉
  19. If you need loads of power @papabassus, the GR Bass One 800 head has a fan that can be turned off in the Studio mode to only run when needed, but after 3 hours of use at low to mid power, it didn't start, so no worries to have about its noise... In the Live mode, it starts quite quickly and can become very noisy if you don't play loud.
  20. Better use @Quatschmacher option. 😉
  21. C'est, en effet, le mieux à faire dans ce cas, car tout risque de finir à la déchetterie... 😉
  22. Nash the Slash fan?
