1. I'm in Florida next month. Musiciansfriend has the lovely lovely Squier CV 7s with those block inlays I'm so keen on for 260 dollars! Tempted if I can get them to ship to my apartment!
2. Dammit, someone buy this because my wife will murder me if I do...!
3. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
4. Entwistle? Cheap and great. Company is British as is design although I suspect actual manufacture might be China though
5. Phenomenal basses. Miss mine I sold when I jumped ship to fender. Best sustain ever
6. Disable automatic updates? Pull the network cable? Turn in airplane mode in Win8?
7. To the buyer - PLEASE keep the "Tint Fascists" stickers...!
8. I'm not buying it but have a bump for the "tiny fascists" logo. Love it!
9. I've tried an E Bow on a bass and it didn't have enough power to work so I do think you'd need to turn up the amplification.
10. My shorty p bass is now Ricking Entwistle PBX pups... ;-)
11. I think my daughter's craft box has since of those in it!
12. Squier Classic Vibe 70s precision? Black body and scratch guard, maple neck with vintage tint and black blocks. By all accounts about as good as a Fender MIM and looks lovely. Might treat myself to one next bonus time!
13. TC Electronics BG250 208 is available for around 240 new. 250w amp with a "free" 2x8 cab attached, can also power 2nd cab if you outgrow it. Toneprint compressor is great and its small yet loud enough for small gigs. Very impressed with mine.
14.
Photos?
Here it is next to it's big brother, my 1999 MIJ 70s reissue Jazz:
15. I'm a tart. Fitted fake aged white fret blocks to my shorty P bass. It looks ace! Also ordered some Entwistle pickups. Tempted by flats next. Anyone recommend some slightly better tuners that for stock screw holes?
16. Oooh, forgot to mention. My shorty P bass had a very slightly rough neck. It's a matte finish (not sure if all their guitars are finished the same way) but a very quick rubdown with a 320/220 grit foam sanding pad and it's *butter* smooth now. Lovely.
17. Lovely looking thing, that, aside from the scratchguard it's the spit of my 1998 MIJ Fender 70s reissue. Sunburst, blocks, rosewood - great combo!
18. It's not horsepoo, but it's badly reported. It'll allow you to get 8x the power that is usually WASTED in a battery when you throw them away as dead, I.e. that last 5%... Great for low low power applications like clocks or smoke alarms, useless for higher power applications. It's what's known as a Joule Thief - just in a neat new casing. It definitely doesn't give you 8x power output!
19. Combined with LED edge lighting this would ashore you to pick whether it looked like you were playing a jazz, P bass or Ricky! As well as change its colour on the fly...!
20. Yes, assuming it's working, I'd say it is...
