A white one would be nice. They did this last year but IIR you could only get them in GC in the USA. I think that was called the Classic as well.

Another vote for the Korg PX4D. I dont have any issues with batteries either. I use some good eneloop type rechargeable and these last for weeks, although i dont use it every day. You can shift the key of the music you are listening to, although as with most of this type of thing you dont want to go too mad with the shift as it can sound nasty. Some fo the presets are pretty naff (i tend to use Motown most of the time) but the building blocks are there to create some very nice tones. I personally dont use the effects but they are there if you need them. Last year i brought the Amplitube iRig adaptor lead and this lets you run a free or paid for iPhone version of guitar rig on a itouch or phone. This seemed like a great idea but i found it had too many shortcomings. The biggest was you had to load in specially converted MP3's to the app, rather than just being able to play along with any of your tracks already on the device. I also found the volume level a bit hit or miss and too fussy to use.

I dont plan to when i buy them. Im definitely not against buying second hand, but i do lie the idea of buying exactly what i want, when i want, and buying new normally means i get a choice.

For me the price was more attractive and i got a nicer playing, looking and sounding bass. IMO & IME of course but that's just as valid as anyone's. Im not sure why no one would believe me, but i guess it will be the same reaction over me thinking the SUB was inferior in almost every way to my Ray34. Im sure these new basses wont be as nice as the real thing to those who have either owned one or done a side by side comparison, nor will they sound the same, but considering the cost of the real thing, with a Jazz neck, there is no way i would be able to afford one and dont think i will need to now. And if i remember correctly Gareth (Musicman20) had to send his back due to a very poor neck heal/joint. Not good for a bass costing that much. No offence meant in any of my posts, but i take exception to people telling me my own feelings are wrong.

LOL, we all know its not identical, why dont we just take it on its own merits? Think what you will, and we know your views on these basses, but if others like them they cant be as bad as you keep telling us.

Having owned a Ray34 and loved it, and having owned an Sub and liked it but felt it felt a bit cheap im looking forward to the new Ray34. Not saying i will get one but it certainly appeals to me more than any other non SLO MM ive seen, mainly for the neck size. And no way would i pay full price for a SR4 SLO. I wouldn't want mutes on so at least i wouldn't be paying for something i didn't want.

Considering its got a slim neck and is based on the 2EQ i think the price difference will be greater between this and a real MM with the same spec. I've been after a SLO for ages but they are way out of my price range, this might be ideal. Its also in exactly the right colour as i miss my MIA Jazz with 3TSB and maple neck. Right then, who wants t buy a HW-one Jazz lol

I haven't played a RW but two things put me off it. The main one is the look. Im not in to the RW look, but more so not the colours they come in. The second is the neck. A lot of people love them but ive found 7.25 radius necks dont feel comfortable to me, i prefer flatter necks. One reason i sent the 70s classic back. Funny enough im like a anti snob when it comes to really expensive, boutique basses. I cant get my head around why anyone needs to pay that sort of money, and wait maybe 2 years to get a good, usable bass. Maybe thats just me. I can see the attraction to own one but to me a bass is there to do a job, and most basses ive played will do that.

The HW1 was the first line of these instruments (2003 i think). The HW-one is the upgraded version. The easiest way to tell at a glance is the HW-One has a BAII bridge on it (although a lot of people, myself included, put a BAII on their HW1), the HW1 came standard with a vintage style bridge. The HW-one has a graphite rod reinforced neck, grease bucket tone circuit, a lightly different finish on the back of the neck and i think thats it. Im sure the finish has been changed but cant for the life of me tell how. Ive never cared at all what other people think of my basses. Its normally people who haven't played one and so normally quote other peoples experience or just assume the worst. I do feel my HW-one sounds better than my CV Jazz but thats a personal thing, i would be happy to gig either (and i do). After owning Laklands, MIA Fenders and now Squiers i can hold my head up high and say i loved them all but value wise im happy to know ive spent so little on a bass that can give all the others a run for their money.

This time last year i was playing a Lakland DJ5, then i got a Lakland Duck Dunn (my second) but im more taken with my CV P than i have been with a lot of my previous basses. Maybe its the lack of funds tied up in a bit of wood and metal that makes me happy. Have these new Squiers been beaten senseless with the ugly stick, or are they the Ugly stick? The Jag looks makes me think of a butchered Guitar from Woolworths. I just cant get on with them.

I love them, and this was a big plus point (Lakland use this type of fret) but some people dont like them.

I paid £560 for my HW-one Jazz 3 months ago, some shop are now doing them for £711. Strangly enough the MIAs have gone up a bit less, only £75 (£975 now).
