  1. I understand you, but actual Rickenbacker pickups are not close to "real" Rickenbacker vintage pickups... The horseshoe pickup for example hasn't magnetic shoes but the ones in the '60s had them. If you want to get closer to that tone, you have to switch to something more historical accurate like Lollar horseshoe or somewhat boutique pickups like Creamery toasters.
  2. Did you try to inquire about the Creamery Rickenbacker Bass Toaster? https://www.creamery-pickups.co.uk/custom-handwound-pickups-from-the-creamery/custom-handwound-replacement-ric-rickenbacker-and-toaster-style-pickups.html
  3. These have improved tuners and come with soft gig bag as standard.
  4. Amazing!!! Do you consider trades?
  5. new bridge in 2020, new truss rod in 2023
  6. Price are not so crazy, due to the fact that EB/MM reduced production in the USA and improved (as they state) QC. Considering ramping inflation all around the world, the prices of these new Classics are in line with the Fender CS offering, and they are better IMHO.
  7. MM used nitro until 1978/1979, so the Retro 76 edition was vintage correct.
  8. Swap for gold hardware... Gold on Gold
  9. GM-800 is an awesome box. It relies on the new developed A2B protocol. The ZEN-core is a massive, modular synth engine that could be expanded in the future with many things. Definitely in my wish list (I have a SY-1000 that I keep in order to have HRM modelling)
  10. What? Are NEW Dan Armstrong basses out there??!?!
  11. The white pickguard is included in the Limited Edition Rio Bass package as an alternative for the black one.
  12. I preordered one here in Italy
  13. Here in Italy is 3K euro
  14. in CAD were 3.365,00. I think "$2,700" are in USD
  15. See the intonation screw on the front of the saddle (left to the strings)
  16. By turning the intonation screws( that are hidden under the strings in the picture you posted...)
  17. The bass will came in 82 pieces Limited Edition with Rio graphics, fancy inlay at 12th fret, custom wall hanger, Hipshot Xtender, custom case and string package. The standard unlimited production is black, vintage white and seafoam green, without all the cool stuff, and will be put in production later.
  18. I found one in Sweden. It's on its trip to Italy 😄
  19. Luckly, they were discontinued soon. Ugly as hell
  20. The Neve preamp would be the real killer! I bet which "guitar company" is the one mentioned by Sheldon...
  21. Indeed! And seems that the production bass has an ebony (or phenolic) fretboard
  22. As I dreamed that bass for years, I'm more than ready to put my £££ into it... ...but I live in Italy, and here in Europe the bass is available no more. Seems that a lot of people have four grand for a bass
