Some Laurel fingerboards I had were extremely gray-ish, very unattractive. For feeling, they were OK.
I have to see the fretless in person, but I think that some oil or carnauba wax treatment will make them virtually identical to rosewood.
Hello,
Seems that original Badass bridges are available again.
Is it possible to have an Euro Classic routed for those? I know that some were made in the past years with customer-supplied bridges
I understand you, but actual Rickenbacker pickups are not close to "real" Rickenbacker vintage pickups... The horseshoe pickup for example hasn't magnetic shoes but the ones in the '60s had them. If you want to get closer to that tone, you have to switch to something more historical accurate like Lollar horseshoe or somewhat boutique pickups like Creamery toasters.
Did you try to inquire about the Creamery Rickenbacker Bass Toaster?

Price are not so crazy, due to the fact that EB/MM reduced production in the USA and improved (as they state) QC. Considering ramping inflation all around the world, the prices of these new Classics are in line with the Fender CS offering, and they are better IMHO.
GM-800 is an awesome box. It relies on the new developed A2B protocol. The ZEN-core is a massive, modular synth engine that could be expanded in the future with many things.
Definitely in my wish list (I have a SY-1000 that I keep in order to have HRM modelling)
