1. Our keyboardist keeps on about going down this route for the future http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/P16-M.aspx
2. Easy way to do this would be to get a midi to usb lead , and take the midi out from the brain . and put the usb into the macbook. Select software instrument in logic and trigger whatever from drums either to play live or record midi data and playback. Make sure you have selected the usb port in mac preferences and logic preferences. You maybe able to go via saffire via the provided focusrite software , but sorry not up to date with this model. Hope that helps !
3. Oh Bless ! Perhaps it matches the colour of your eyes better !!! Anyway glad your keeping at least one! So people , Chris is a great bloke to deal with , and I can confer that this maple Trb like mine will be a great bass , everyone should have one !!! Good luck with the sale You sure you can't talk the wife into letting you keep both !
4. I wondered why he was selling , as I bought my Trb5Pii after speaking to Chris , and I don't think I would ever part with it as it does so much so well ! Why did you want the Bubinga?
5. Can I join in as well ? Welcome
6. Had this for xmas as well dam good read , can't beat the Chic Corporation Ltd !!! Shame that Chic had to sue the SugarHill Gangs record company , to get there dues , even after the SugarHill Gangs heavies came into the studio threatening Chic. Diana Ross and Motown shame on you . Madonna , nothing we hadn't really worked out for our selves . And bugger me if John Taylor was bequeathed Bernards Stingray after his death. Music for Xbox Halo Nile is one extremely talented guy , and we are very lucky to have him.
7. Have a bump on me I have one of these , and it always puts a smile on my face ! Not that well known but have never seen a bad review of one, probably a bit of bass snobbery because it says Yamaha instead of Fender , but come on people these are great basses , and punch way above there weight and you get a lot more for your money , trust me anyone buying this will be a very happy person !

9. You could try here http://www.hellforleather.tv/component/option,com_frontpage/Itemid,1/ I know Martin , and he is a bass player his self so may well have an idea of what you want , must get round to getting him to make me one sometime as well !!!
10. Poor old Donald looks like Dracula in some of those shots too much fangs bless him ! Have to agree about the well crafted and recorded music , an it is great to see them able to pull this quality off live. Saw them a few years ago up in Brum NIA with some muso friends , it was a tough night I can tell you , it was a toss up between burning all our kit or shovelling it into a big hole !!!
11. Cheers chris I can never get that embedding clip thing right !
Yeh great band , sitting in the groove , we currently have this one in our set ! 14.
mate my MM4 is basically my main bass. I had no real problem with the preamp although have to admit I didn't use it under studio conditions before choosing to load it up with a John East Marcus Retro just to get the added flexibility. I am now very very happy - the CIJ build is good, it feels solid, slick neck and with the East there is total flexibility. Studio and live it's brilliant. I know there are some very very good Jazzes out there but MM4's are the best quality, best value SH jazzes out there in my opinion. Add a John East and you've got a £1K+ bass for £2-300 less than that.
I agree with the above , I did exactly the same , gives you endless tone options. Dont be put off with it being CIJ quality is excellent , and in my opinion better than a lot of MIA that I've picked up in the past !
15. Bought one of these the other day http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/B205D.aspx Haven't used it at a gig yet but it seemed ok at practice , as most things Behringer its a copy of something else , in this case the Mackie 150 . But saying that it seems pretty well put together and at half the price of the mackies its a bargin . I went with this design as our sax player has the mackie 150 an he seems pretty happy with it over the other things he's had in the past. It does give you the level control over the monitor , which I think is better than relying on someone else. I know Behringer stuff gets a bit of a slating , so I'll see how long it keeps going. Worth a look though.
16. Hi Couldn't post a picture , and take some internal measurements for me by any chance. I need it to fit a Ampeg V4B , needs to be at least 690mm length internally. Ta !
17. I would look out for a EBS HD650 or 350 head on here , combined with a EBS proline 4x10 cab . Clean with plenty of zing and full of authority , works well with my Yamaha TRB5Pll, just the ticket !
18. Bit of a bargain for someone , because the Kappa's 3012ho speakers are great , and look at the current price of them here ! http://www.bluearan.co.uk/index.php?id=EMIKLIT3012HO I have just completed a BFM Jack 12 which is great , I think these would sound even bigger. Good luck with the sale.
19. I got a a crossover that went with 2khz , and have had no problems so far , sounds great . I ended up with a 14 piezo melded array in mine , purely because I cocked the cutting on two and didn't have any spares , seems to be more than enough. I am going to build the matching Jack 12 with the same amount of piezo's as the first , just to give the flexibility , but I may incorporate a 3 way switch for 1/2 on full on or off options depending on how it sounds with the other one. I have found that so far the 1x Jack 12 is fine with a 4 -string or 5-string bass , although I am hoping that 2 will give me just a bit more to play with on a 5-string. To me the Jack 12 is by design a more mid frequency sounding cab, but with a very focused sound . I am two bands at the moment , and play 4 - string in one and 5- string in the other , so far I have gigged the 1x Jack 12 out with the 4-string using my old 73Ampeg V4B valve amp , and it sits really well , even the drummer , and keyboardist have said that it sound just right. With the other band I wanna use 2xJack 12's a 5 -string and my EBS HD650 head , so I may report back when I finish the build. Of course where the Jack 12's really score is the lightness and transportability !
20. Just built a BFM Jack 12 , haven't used the Pulse piezo's , I used these http://cpc.farnell.com/_/mpt-016/piezo-tweeter/dp/LS02367 which I thought were the recommended ones that are the same as the american ones. Its a bit of a pain cutting them down and glueing them for a melded array , but so far everything ok , and very impressed with my build , already started construction on another Jack 12 . All the best with your build , deffo worth doing.
21. Have no idea what price they were new . A few have come up on here , they seem to go around £200 , or £250 with hiscox case or similar. So if you can get it for £130 , I would say its a bargin ! Unfortunately Yamaha's get snubbed a bit through pure bass snobbery in my view , I have a few Yammies , and truly believe you will struggle to beat the bang for buck that they offer.
22. I would say its a BB605 , in fact the same as mine. Thin pickups spaced apart, flick switch for mid version of the NE-1 eq Great basses , great eq , tone monster for very little money
23. Unreal , stunning !!! I'm afraid I would be too scared to take that out and play it !!! Good luck with the sale
24. Yes you should try one , I have one , and it bloody great! I have a Trb 1005 as well which is now kept as stage second bass. Differences between the two that I feel make a difference are , piezo pick up does add another dimension to the sound , turn up the piezo and a hint of chorus and you have a lively Mark King Level 42 sound! Thru neck does add sustain and the ebony fret board seems to me to add more depth to the tone. Nick Fyffe ( ex Jamoroquai bassist) has one , and used it on several tracks studio and live I believe. I find that I can pretty much get any sound I want , and it does sit well in the band 35' scale good B. String spacing is slightly closer than the TRB 1005 which is odd , but you soon get used to it. I have the the Maple version of the TRB5PII which I think is quite light the Ovangol version may be heavier , they dont come up very often on here but expect to pay between £900 to £1200 second hand . All in all a great all round bass , I dont think I will be moving mine on at all in the near future , in fact I'm off to play her at practice now !!!
