1. Dont know what your running on mac , but pretty sure you can load a cab impulse into space designer reverb unit , an impulse is an impulse , its only giving you the character of the said cab / effect etc .
2. Heres mine I think its about 1986 , the bridge pickup started squealing many years ago , so I opened it out and put a Seymour Duncan musicman and 3 band eq in it, kept the neck pick up for cosmetic purposes , have often thought about making a fretless out of it , one day I may have a go.
3. That bridge seems quite a lump ! Only have the 4 string version I'm afraid , as you say mine doesn't have the open ended ball retainers , plus your bridge must be bigger in length than mine , as mine sits pretty much at the ass end of the bass.
4. Johnston , instead of a bass trade do fancy a wife trade ?
5.
Throwing more watts at it won't help, turning down and letting the PA take the load is the way forward! I would be inclined to go with this , just make sure you position your speakers so that you can monitor yourself well , and if you have a spare I'd be inclined to fire it at the drummer or across the band.
6. Ahh well , I had 8 up until the other month, then I did a silly thing like do the obligatory basses on the settee photo shoot , where upon her indoors suddenly realised how many I had! Had to sell one to keep the peace ,and go and buy her a mic , totally out of order if you ask me
7. I was gonna put some flats on my BB1500a but haven't got round to it, how does it sound now? I love my BB1500a great for slap and does most things very well , my TRB 1005 is a great looking and sounding bass for the money , and my recently aquired TRB5PII is fabulous ! Also have a BB605 that may be up for sale soon , and that shouldn't really sound as good as it does for the money !
8. Great stuff mate , can hear the bass, like the extra riff. Surely with Bootsy's permission you can get this used as tv or advert music somwhere!
9.
Still for sale?
Yep ! still here , great little units
10. Shhhhhhhhh! I'll tell you what lets just keep it our little secret aye ! Beats me ! I have few , and they are all great, and punch way above there weight , when compared to others , and if you can pick up something 2nd hand you can usually end up with a bargin. If you have the chance of getting the TRB1004 go for it you wont be disappointed !! Its a wonderful thing bass snobbery , just leaves all the bargins to us realists !!!!
11. " You gotta take it to the bridge man ! " Loved it ! List of kit used please , and yes more bass in da mix.

13. Simon picked up my Squier VMJ today great bloke to deal with , had a good chat , and put the world to rights , highly recommended.
14. Cheers Bernmeister As you say , great little bass. Can post now , amended in first post.
15. Yeh great little bass , I wouldn't really be getting rid of it to be honest , but her indoors allowed me to buy something a bit special the other day , which was nice of her , except she's just worked out that I have now managed to acquire 8 basses !!! So to keep the peace I have had to offer up a sacrificial lamb! Such is life !!!!!
