2.
"...as a burst/maple with white scratchplate (which is easily changed!) in the Mexican standard range too.
sorry, didnt realise this was available, hence my point thanks
3.
Like this? http://intl.fender.com/en-GB/basses/precision-bass/american-standard-precision-bass-maple-fingerboard-3-color-sunburst/ Beautiful bass btw. The relic job is really subtle and great!
Wasn't his original point that you had to buy a us model to get it? Nice looking bass
4. Oh that's very nice (In a "too small, too many weedy strings" kind of way)
5. Pretty! Sadly up to bass quota though so free bump
6. Wasn't my cup of tea (I was 14) but I liked it lyrically and vocally Maggie o Neill was very hot indeed too
7. I'll get a photo next time I'm there
8. They are 16.99 now Did you need to adjust relief?
9. Is there a cheapie line ? Seen a pointy headstock six string in black / rosewood at my local crack converters which needs some tlc Any tips
10. Please link to it from here ?
11. Don't forget about the photo upload and posting function
12. I play so rarely in public that it always feels like the first time This next time at open mic night I'm choosing "groove is in the heart" for my soundcheck (they never get bass players and I'm never there at kickoff due to kids so it takes a while) followeda country blues riff segueing into a boogie woogie 12 bar thing (I made both up so no idea if they'll sound ok) - local guitar teacher offered to accompany me
13.
It's certainly red rather than brown, but not startlingly so. Unmarked for brand, came as part of a trade deal. Large pot apertures as per CTS pots. Cyberbass, pm incoming.
Ok care to pm me sone payment details ?
14. If that's red tort I'll take it. What brand is it?
15.
You can't have Amy Adams - I was in the queue first!!!
There are several fitting that description and you were non specific, so I'm afraid you're not
16. That is why I went custom build rather than mim or mij
17. I've got one for sale that's not a million miles away (not a fender part btw)
18.
Bursting with excitement - and sad as I am, I have to share it! I've ordered a 'bespoke' bass. You might not agreed, but to my tired eyes the combo of a Sunburst body P-Bass with tortoiseshell pick guard and maple neck has always struck me as a lovely colour combo...a bit like a redhead with pale skin (insert name of favourite Hollywood lust object here)...highly subjective I know and at least two of my mates hate it! Can you get this in the shops? Nah...unless you count the vastly overpriced Fender American Deluxe. But thanks to a very helpful man who's initials are BM I will soon be receiving a superb Korean-made bass built to my specs in that combo, complete with Babicz bridge, Flatwounds and Bare Knuckle '58 split-P pickup. To give you an idea of the vibe going on here I attach a photo of Colin Wilson (www.aussiefloyd.com). Oh, and I haven't said how much this is costing me...lets put it this way, I could have three of these for the price of the Fender. When its finished I'll post a pic and let you know how it plays! What are your thoughts on having a bass built for you to your very own requirement? And what would you be prepared to pay? Phil
Exactly that combo is what I ordered from the bass doc and it was perfect in every way. It had jap parts. I'd like to have added Amy Adams (red head actress) as an accessory to my order but sadly she is not available
