1. To which any decent comic would say "but everyone is looking at you"
2. Saw this once at a comedy club, the comic held up his hands for quiet, looked straight at heckler and said "let's all wait for her to think up a really good heckle". Everyone looked at heckler who was so embarrassed she left
3. Maybe it's short for "comb acknowledgement" as in, "we know they exist, we just cant be bothered"
4. I don't get as much time to spend on it as I would like so all pointers gratefully accepted
5. Anyone bought one if these ? http://m.aliexpress.com/item/32337239337.html Looks like an American standard clone with blocks and binding
6. Do they work well for plastic appliances or are they just good for metal ?
7. Is it my imagination or are they a bit light on fender clones?

Nice It's a big price item and such things take time to sell, even "normal" modern items aren't selling quickly
10. How lucky it's not still sunburst or I would have been forced to sell children in order to buy it
11. Sally Phillips pictures - back of the net!
12.
How do they do that lacquer crazing ? Nice though
I've since read that this can be done by putting the body in a freezer overnight then warming it up quickly. Apparently you rub shoe polish in whilst the body is still cold
13. How do they do that lacquer crazing ? Nice though
14. Looks just like mine although my plate didn't have thumb rest holes
15. The rosewood precision has what I wanted but you've also made me realise that there is significant variation in red
16. Thanks it's actually not too far off
17.
Well it's back home after a 3 hour round trip. Sound great. Desperately needs a set up, clean and a new set of strings so it's off down the local shop as with one year old baby I don't get time for such things.
I hear that ...
18.
That's a fair point about the cutouts looking a bit scruffy - I was more thinking about the colour to be honest, which looks ok to me.
This is what I wanted thanks - comments on colour from owners of the real thing, 70s red tort was what I wanted It's not quite the dark wine red colour I wanted but it's not bad colour wise. Cutout issues were easily solved I can't justify paying spitfire7s prices and I don't have time to make a decent job out of a blank wd tort sheet. Bass doc did point me towards some ultra red stuff they do (when he did my build) but I can't spare the time to make one.
19.
Sorry - but it looks cheap to me & judging by the close up around the jack socket it doesn't look very well cut either, I'd suggest you didn't pay a lot for it
Some wire wool resolved that A lot of looked like burrs was actually plastic film
20. What are people's (constructive!) thoughts on its quality ?
