  1. Me too, if I lead with index I go out of strict time and go all swing
  2. Keep us routed, I mean “posted”
  3. Pm me
  4. Top notch, well done. You’re ahead of me already Good thumb anchoring technique btw, And you should be less self-deprecating at the beginning. There’s nothing to excuse
  5. That’s for a seller, sellers can’t give negative feedback even if the buyer is a Richard
  6. Yes you can, it’s an auction not a classified ad. Should have put a reserve on it, or used gumtree
  7. Yes you can, it’s an auction not a classified ad.
  8. You cannot as you did not pay
  9. They do it, ask for the complaints team, not just a regular phone person. I had to report someone for feedback extortion and they suspended her there and then - call at 8am on the dot and you should get straight through
  10. If no money changed hands you cannot neg doing shipping quotes can take significant time to research, not saying he’s a good seller, or that you’re wrong
  11. 👋 welcome ozan wait till she starts counting how many you have. “Limit” is a bad word to hear ...
  12. I have a jazz bass that I finished in nitro car paint. I left it in my car for a year. It’s crazed up nicely with winter and summer. It’s in its virgin form in my build thread . Apparently you can rub shoe polish into the cracks - think that tip came from @ricksfine52
  13. @ikay you mean Sting, right ? 😛
  14. We demand pictures, mister. Make with the snappy snaps ....📸🎞
  15. True, I used a lot of input from @Skol303 and his nice 70s p, I also looked at a lot of images of Adam clayton’s beat-up 70s P.
  16. Okay but this thread is about relics, not road worn through decades. Mine was made of Japanese parts, I understood from the bass doc
  17. Bass doc p in the “relic refuge” thread. Never tweaked it, never needed to
  18. I went to a car paint display in Halfords, browsed for colour then simply ordered the colour I wanted from a nitro can supplier on eBay using the paint code
  19. I tried one and honestly didn’t notice any difference in sound. It was marginally easier to use but that didn’t Justify the outlay and time
  20. Some of you folks @JohnDaBass @Harry K might like my new thread in general called “relic refuge” tell us more about how you did it.
  21. If you’re offended by relics, don’t read any further and don’t post any negative comments. if you wouldn’t have one, or don’t think they look good; you’re entitled to your opinion and I won’t try and change your mind. if you have one, or are planning one, post your ideas and pictures here. here’s mine I used the back of a kitchen knife to roll the fretboard edges, a bradle to do the rsndom dinks and the same knife back to do the edges. I was careful to think about end grain. Bare wood was sponged with tea. I used a green dish sponge to take the gloss off the paint. I thought about the strap rub points. I did nothing with metal parts. No belt sanders were harmed
  22. No - sorry. Wasn’t suggesting it was fake or anything, it just looked a bit slender compared to normal
  23. I’ve not seen one yet, tbh and I’m not that picky
  24. Is it my eyesight at fault or is the headstock slightly smaller than normal ?
  25. Ich liebe das total I totally f ucking love it. This is mine - I’ve not done a relic before
