A used but very good condition WMS 40 Pro - a great introduction to wireless. I've used this for rehearsals and gigs and it's worked very well. Everything is in the box just as it arrived. There may be a minor mark here or there (I can't see anything other than a very small scuff on the back of the receiver unit - it's tiny) but the unit as a whole is very clean. I'd continue to use it but have just received a Smoothhound as a gift. The cheapest I can see these is £80+ at Gear for Music so I hope this is a bargain. I can ship in the UK for £5

Lovely pre - had one in a Sadowsky NY bass (pj) - to be honest, the pre and the weight were the only things I liked about the bass, but the pre is excellent! Subtle but present and very musical. If I had a passive J, I’d buy this

I'm not sure, and others will know better, but that looks like it could be Morroco red from the International colours series. The date could be about right for the series too. Great price IMO (and I'm a big fan of PJs)

Oh no. I have an addiction to the world’s finest non-valve pres. And this is certainly one of the world’s finest. Infinite tweaking capability. I could waste hours with this.

Hmm... best big touring bass head ever built? Actually prefer these to the 751. Thunderous but incredibly responsive to player dynamics. Stunningly well built

Wow! I've had the very significant pleasure of having both played this bass and heard it being used live on a number of occasions. It's a very light, resonant and well-balanced instrument. The neck is a particularly fine example - slender and fast - with lovely quarter-sawn figuring (this is evident in the images). When I played it, the action too was lovely - low but with enough room to dig-in without clanging all over the place. Live, the bass sounds superb - fantastic ability to cut-through (obviously dependent of FoH staff) but sits very neatly in the mix. As above, pretty much anything from nasal Jaco to dub tones. An extremely handsome bass and one that I'd love to call my own... I just really struggle a bit with the Jazz body shape. GLWTS - I'd doubt that this will hang around

Absolutely gorgeous - I love these. I saw one in a shop in Paris around 1980. I already owned a fretted, maple Ripper but was rather taken by the two-tone sunburst on the fretless and hadn't been previously aware that they were available. There aren't too many of these basses around ('wonder if it's the same one and it made its way to Ireland?) I didn't have the cash at the time and many years on I realise that my fretless playing is inadequate to justify an emotional purchase. Weird though, I remember vividly my first sighting of such a lovely bass. It made such an impression that I had my Ripper re-finished but in 3TS within the year. GLWTS, a lovely instrument with a distinctive character and tone (and a pic of mine!) - and a Bump for a fabulous bass, of course
