1. Damn. Only saw the poster for this on the seafront yesterday. Missed it.
2. Not really bass related but saw this the other day in the ‘sale’ at Wakehurst Place.
3. Any Beatles gig - especially Cavern or Hamburg. My mum turned down an opp to see the Beatles in Brighton saying she didn’t like creepy crawlies. Doh!
4. Agree. I have two signature basses: a black Matt Freeman P-Bass and a slightly pink Jazz with stack knobs. I didn't know who Matt Freeman was (I still don't really) but it was the best P-Bass I could find for the money and loved the bass. I'm not a RHCP fan although I can see that their bassist is very talented. Again, not bought because of who it represents but because I liked that particular bass I tried in Andertons. It was just rather special. Very comfortable and seemed to play itself.
5. Can I have a Herbie Flowers or a Guy Pratt signature bass, please?
6. Watching/listening to live versions can work as they can be different/simplified from the recorded ones - even by the original artists. I was working on 'Tempted' by Squeeze and I preferred a live Paul Carrack version with Nick Lowe on bass. Not particularly simpler but more varied. https://youtu.be/wH0icW_9tUI I also remember learning Bowie's 'Let's Dance' and getting a bass line based on a number of versions including the version from The Serious Moonlight Tour. Simplify.

9.
Tennis elbow can take forever to fix. The danger is that once 'fixed' you will forget and eventually pick something heavy or awkward up e.g. shopping. You then damage the elbow again and start the healing process all over again. Do the exercises and stick with them, it really helps.
I'm in this boat at the moment with tennis and golfer's elbow in right arm. (Grangur - thanks for the message of support on the other thread - couldn't reply as it was locked.) Haven't really been able to play since March. Just about getting 'better' but some days worse than others. Have osteoarthritis in hands and feet, too. Got exercises from physio for the arm and taking turmeric pills for the osteoarthritis which do actually take the edge off.

12. My dad and brother who are electrical engineers would know the answer to this... I have no idea, I'm afraid. All I know is that it is very loud! Is there anyone else on here who can help out with this question? Cheers Mr RLP

17. Decided to keep this for now. I have a pristine MarkBass Minimark 802 Bass Combo that I am looking at moving on. I bought it in February 2017 from GAK. Due to an arm injury (I have both tennis and golfer’s elbow – go figure…) that has stopped me from playing bass this year it has only been used on a couple of occasions for light practice. It has not been gigged and has been living at school in my office and still has the sticker on the grill: http://www.markbass....l/minimark-802/ Please see pictures here – I forgot to push the handle down when I took the pictures. It does, of course, go down. I don’t have the original box. I’m in Lewes, near Brighton. 15 minutes off A23 No trades thanks as money raised going towards Flea Jazz Bass. They are rather nice… Cheers Mr RLP
