For one particular wedding, the bride and groom wanted "Hillbilly Rock, Hillbilly Roll" by The Woolpackers. It went down so well, we've kept it in the 'reserves' set for whenever it feels appropriate.

Jon Anderson hasn't been too healthy for some time, apparently. The singer is a Canadian chappie - Benoit David. (Not to be confused with US session guitarist David Benoit! )

I'm posting this for a Jazz guitarist friend of mine who has a new quartet in need of a bassist. Here are the details he has given me: - What we are is: [list] [*] A modern jazz quartet (tenor sax, guitar, bass, drums) with a bluesy, funky feel to the sound. [*] Playing standards and modern compositions, with points of reference such as Kenny Burrell’s “Midnight Blue”, Joshua Redman’s “Wish” (with Pat Metheny), Grant Green, Stanley Turrentine, and always Miles!! but taking in lots of influences that are outside the sphere of “straight” jazz – world music, reggae, etc. [*] Based in Southern Essex but open to offers!! I've done plenty of recording, band work and other session stuff and try to avoid the copy/paste scenario absolutely wherever possible. If it's a session restricted by time and/or budget, it might prove necessary and I guess that's ok. But it can sound too obvious depending on the part.

Nice one, B5! Nathan East is The Man and one of my all-time fave bass players (along with Mr Levin ). Patti Ballinas is a pretty decent singer too as well as a rather tasty drummer!
