2. Bump, updated original post, now interested in other trades or selling it outright.
3. Moving back up to Lincoln in the next week. Could look into shifting a few bits on ebay and using the money to grab this cab... I love my Trace 2x15 but am after a bit more high end response, and im guessing this would do nicely with a 10 and 18. Also being flightcased is a bonus as my cab's gotten a bit scraped up... Well, I won't guarantee anything, but this things been here for so long I feel like maybe its meant to be, i'll look into it!
4. Hmmm, whatever it would cost to get me a second hand DD3... know of anyone selling!?
5. Best of luck getting it sorted, can be a real bugger getting things like this sorted! However, maybe cut them a little slack as most companies are totally overworked over the Christmas/new year period... hopefully it all works out over the next few days. Its more annoying when they promise the world and fail to deliver, they should probably have just said 'we'll get it sorted as soon as possible, really sorry' instead of making up a date just to make you end the call asap...
6. Sounds highly interesting, if you want the SYB3 boxed (i'm pretty sure I've got the box anyway) you'd have to wait til the 15th-ish when i'm back up off to uni digs, otherwise I have the pedal down here on my pedalboard and could sort it out anytime...
7. The project I got this pedal for fell through, so no need any more! Its a good pedal, basically turns your bass into a synthesizer, it can also have an electric piano or whatever plugged into it and give that a synth sound too... 11 different modes and various adjustments totally transform the sound, an interesting piece of kit! They still sell for new at £90 in Andertons, etc... I'm asking £50 for it, which is hopefully enough to cover me getting a delay pedal. Or, ideally, i'd trade it for a delay pedal, thinking of a Boss DD3 or similar. Or... if anyone has any interesting pedals going, i'd consider anything, always up for trying something new! Cheers, Ben

24 at once? Tracking a band, then layering up overdubs of guitar, bass, vocals etc on top. My universities local studio uses an 003 to bring inputs in from a spirit 24 desk. In no way can I see them needing to upgrade to an HD system in hardware terms, but that track count is pretty low seeing its just a software enforced limitation. I just produced a folk-rock CD full of singer songwriters in the local area and many of the tracks used upto 60 tracks once all additional instruments and overdubs were finished. In no way am I a high earning professional - i'm just a guy who likes producing music vocationally, it was a charity Cd! Whatever works for you, and really i'm not trying to be an annoying pest, just very shocked at how low that track count is, given how far the amateur is taking music production now, it sounded shockingly low, thats all.

Not sure if I understand the price of fish thing?! Only thing I can take from it is that you don't think the interface defines how many tracks you'd need in a sequencer - well of course it does, if you've invested lots of cash in an 003 then you can be tracking 24 ins at once, thus 48 suddenly gets very limited once you're recording drums, etc. Not trying to tell you what to like or anything, just was shocked at a lowly 48 audio track count on such expensive equipment!

With Midi instruments on top, thats a bit better, but still, I wouldn't find 48 particularly spacious! Especially if people use larger interfaces like the 003 with Protools LE!

Only 48 tracks? Any you pay how much for that? If the upgrade alone is £100 thats a bit mental, rather restricting really isnt it?
12. You are actually plugging into the correct output yes? There are 2 outputs, using one of them gives bypass when off, and effect on when on - if something is plugged into output B, that jack outputs a constant dry signal regardless of the state of the pedal. Which is what it sounds like yours is doing. Just thought i'd point that out just in case...
13. Well, they are pretty brilliant portable interfaces. A LOT higher quality preamps than the cheap 8+ input rackmount systems. Obviously not suitable for tracking drums, but brilliant for most anything else.

16. How does it work out as a scam? I mean since youre picking it up, how are they scamming you?
17.
Hey guys. Got an M-Audio USB midi controller, 25 key keyboard that I never really bothered to get into - keyboard and synths just aren't really for me. Its your average controller keyboard - a few knobs and dials to tweak bits and bobs and 25 keys. Solid unit, great condition and boxed. It looks like: I will post up a real picture of mine tomorrow. Looking for £40 + post for it, or trade for an interesting pedal. I'd be extremely interested in a Boss Bass Chorus or pretty much any synth pedal. Cheers! Ben
Bump.

19. you ever up north any further than leicester?
20. Trades? M audio 02 usb midi controller keyboard?
21. Ok, so in addition to my earlier post saying I want to learn where all the notes are - I can highly suggest that you get in a band with someone who is brilliant on piano. We've been learning cover songs, doing weird adaptations of songs by tenacious d, lil jon and the eastside boys, xzibit etc into female fronted rock ballads! She's been helping me find all the notes but writing down everything in notes for me to follow so now I automatically learn all the notes on the neck as I learn more and more songs. A very organic and fun way of learning.
22. Are you sending it post or pre EQ? What sounds good through the Pre stage once its through the speaker might sound great, but be an awful feed to work with as a sound guy.
23. If I hadn't just packed my cab in the car for a long journey i'd post it up. Its torn, shredded and battered. Its got cat claw marks down the side of it. It looks amazing. It was sold to me as some early trace elliot beast, 2x15" speakers and sounds great. I'll post some when I unpack it on weds The most totally ruined item i've ever seen however is this orange cab...
