1. Up for sale... two boss bass pedals! ODB3 Bass Overdrive. This is the bright yellow overdrive pedal. What to say about it... great condition... works 100%. A worthy addition to any pedalboard, to give anything from a light breakup to thicken up your tone, to a full effect distorted bass sound. Seems to retail at £80... up for sale at £50 SYB3 Synth Bass pedal. This is the silver boss synth pedal. Useful for very odd synth sounds... from lead sounds to background drone/swells. Needs tight playing, ideally play long notes into it rather than super-fast note changing... it doesn't follow that so quickly. I never really got to grips with it/had a use for it in the end so its up for sale. One thing to note - it has 2 outputs, one is meant to be blended synth/clean output with a dial to adjust blend. The other being a direct 'bypass' clean output. Infact the blended output seems to be just the synth half of the output. 2 ways around it... a lead/adaptor that takes 2xmono ts jacks into one mono ts jack going to each output, or go into 2 amp inputs/2 amps on your rig. I used this to output to a separate amp for synth duties. The newer SYB-5 which features expression control retails at £120. Grab this pedal for just £60. Make me an offer - here or [email protected] Cheers, Ben
2. Series 6 GP7 may well be correct, Merton. Not sure of their whole naming scheme. Trace_n_Bass... on the back where it says serial number, it says AH300.
3. Hmm, it was meant to attach one with that post. Nevermind.
4. Selling my much loved Trace Elliot stack. Its the Ah300 GP6 head. Nice and loud, everything works fine, only notably missing 2 caps on the EQ sliders and 1 top of the gain dial. In addition, comes with a 2x15" cab. This was sold to me as an early Trace proto cab, I must admit it doesn't appear to be so much their style... weave rather than metal mesh covering. Has recently had new drivers put in, since the band who borrowed it dropped it forwards out of the taxi and ruined the drivers. The cab itself is a bit battered looking but structurally sound. I put castors on the bottom to make it easier to move... it weighs a ton to lift! Amazing deep, subby tone, and super loud using the Trace head. £250 for the amp, cab and a lead to connect them up. Its all based in Camberley, Surrey. Feel free to drop in and try it all out. PM me here or email [email protected]

6. Throwoff, i'll find out if we've got any lefties... not sure off the top of my head. Cheers! Steve, i'll send you a PM now about it
7. Hi Philestein, the trace cab sounds very interesting, but I don't have any trips up to Lincoln area planned for the moment so don't think i'll be able to get it - shame... If I head up there (went to uni in Lincoln so would like to visit mates!) i'll let you know. Cheers for the offer! Dave - guitar sounds interesting. Would be very handy, as unfortunately we have more guitarists than bassists here! Are you based in Bristol? are you ever in the Surrey/London are? Cheers, Ben

9. I'd be possibly interested, dependant on how working it actually is right now. If theres a few crackly pots, thats not really tough to sort, but if theres issues routing between busses or any fully dead strips thats more problematic... Just checking as well, does this have 'flip' on each channel (to be used as an in-line mixer) or is that just the 24/32 versions? Cheers, Ben
10. Am very interesting in the El Sabor hihats and possibly the Saturation Crash 18". Got a few things I might be up for trading, i'll send you a PM. 11. Thanks to Jim (Floyd Pepper) for coming over to the college and donating us some bits of kit! We now have an Ibanez Soundwave bass guitar and Ibanez practise amp to add to our music department. Cheers Jim! Attached is a pic of a student rocking out on the bass
12. Yep il be at work then, so can meet up easily at whatever time is good for you let me know when you've had a look for the stuff. Cheers
13. Sounds interesting, if we can build a bass from some leftover bits that'd be brilliant. Let us know about that neck
14. Fantastic, ok, well i'll be in contact next time i'm heading into London - should be within the next few weekends, if thats ok? I should be able to bring a bass case along with me, otherwise shall just be gentle with it in transport on the way back down. Cheers for the great response so far
15. Guitar stands are also handy, yep. If it keeps going like this we might have enough guitars to fill them! Ahpook - cheers for the reply. I'm occasionally in London at weekends and could arrange to meet somewhere at some point suitable for you? An acoustic bass would be fantastic - especially as one of their courseworks is to do put together stripdown covers of modern full band rock songs. Whereabouts in London would be good for you?
16. Sounds pretty brilliant. Cheers! The aerospace business park is just around the corner from the college so thats pretty much perfect from that standpoint. Just let me know when you've had a look. Thanks again! Ben.
17. Sure yeah keep it open. So are you likely to be around the Farnborough area very often at all?
18. Hi guys, Might be a bit cheeky but was wondering if anyone has any kit they want to donate to a college? Could always do with a bit more kit, and i'm willing to drive wherever to pick up any useful equipment. If you've got something you want to donate give me a PM and i'll fill you in with more details! Thanks to Jim (floyd pepper) for his donation of an Ibanez Soundwave bass and practise amp! Cheers.
19. Possibly take this on payday at the end of the month. You travel near Farnborough during your commute? Just off the M3. Ta. Ben
20.
yeh but I don't think this desk has inserts on each mic channel?
This may be true, oops - well if it does have inserts on each channel, they can be used as direct outs... if not... then no
21.
ta for the info, it's not for me sorry! Good luck with the sale.
Bear in mind that the inserts on any desk can be turned into direct outs with a TRS jack with the tip and ring wires shorted together. It provides passthrough of the uninterrupted signal through the insert point, plus an unbalanced split output into a recording device or whatever. Same function can be done using a patchbay.
22. You'd have to be careful plugging them into an amp, as you said these are active monitors (jack/xlr input). You wouldn't want to plug a hifi amp's power output into these. They are more suited to attaching to the balanced outs of a mixing desk or audio interface.
23. regardless of confusion over spec, what a shame - i wish i'd seen this! should be a gorgeous bass and slap bang in my area too! enjoy it.
