1. Hi Nick and Welcome from another Suffolk dweller, though I am west rather than north. Enjoy the forums. It's a great place to be!!

Budget PJs

If it didnt need to look like a Precision as such then I would be all over a second hand Yamaha. An RBX 270J for example or if you strike lucky a BB424 or 424X. Loads of bass for the money.
3.
a deco bass/ instrument is an instrument that is new but so sub quality they can only sell them cheap as a pretty wall hanging type thing mate
That's not necessarily true. There used to be a thread on here regarding the 'deco' basses and the vast majority that were bought by Basschatters were perfectly good, playable basses and well worth the money spent and some. I have bought 2 in the past and still use one as a back-up. Obviously some will come with issues but these seem to be generally minor and easily/cheaply fixed. Often, the only thing wrong with them is the D stamps that Thomann have applied! The issue came when people realised what amazing value these were and now whenever deco basses come up on Thomann they are gone almost as soon as they are put up. This guy is clearly taking advantage of this and no, I dont agree with it at all as he is misrepresenting what he is selling. Probably not a great deal that can be done about it tho unfortunately.

5. My VM jazz is all over the place with string alignment but plays great so I dont care and I am pretty sure that nobody else will notice either.

7. Yup, I had an RBX 270J. Great bass for the money and sort of regret selling it now. Perfectly giggable I would say.
8. I have had the same virus warning about half an hour ago whilst browsing BC. Wasnt aware that I had clicked any banners or ads.
9. Been saying I will go the last 2 years but havent quite made it. Determined to get there this time.....
10. That is quite excellent. And Paz is on there, so I am happy!!
11.
My singer won't do Slither, but it's great bass line (and a great song)..
Ha, our singer quit the band after we introduced Slither to the set, quoting 'musical differences' as the reason. He knew his time was up basically!!
12. My band does Slither - Velvet Revolver as well. Also Figure it Out - Royal Blood. Open Fire - The Darkness (off the latest album). Numerous Foo Fighters songs. Are You Gonna Be My Girl - Jet.
13.
When I used pedals this was the chorus I used and for a cheapo pedal it is pretty good GLWTS
Thanks.Yep, it does what you would want a chorus to do and for the price point does it well.
14. At the moment I would have to say Vulfpeck. Wasnt able to go when they were in the UK in September. Who knows when they will be back!
15. Saw Joanne Shaw Taylor (again) at the Apex, Bury St Edmunds on Saturday. Last leg of the current UK tour and she/they gave it everything. Really really good and what a guitarist she is. Fab. For those interested, bassist is a guy called Luigi Casanova. Cool guy, playing a Fender Jazz (of some sort) through an Ampeg rig (of some sort)!
16. Digitech multi-chorus pedal. In as close to mint condition as you will get. Used twice only in the studio. Comes in original box/packaging. Collect from Bury St Edmunds or will post for a few extra pounds. http://i1372.photobu...zpscbrkoul4.jpg ** NOW SOLD **
17. Excellent. I guessed what this was before opening the link, having seen it yesterday and also lol'd !!
18. Hi and welcome from another East of Englander. You have definitely come to the right place for doing your research - opinion and technical knowledge here aplenty. If you are looking for musicians, I have found all of my current and previous bandmates over the last couple of years on Join My Band - worth a look if you havent already.
19. I have a couple of their albums but love Its My Life in particular with 'Tomorrow Started' being a stand out track for me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQAOdpj7lm4
