1. Dont know exactly what mine weighs but it is certainly lighter than my Korean Squier Jazz which is in the region of 9lb
2.
What made Milwaukee famous...
I always thought it was The Fonz that made Milwaukee famous...
3. Received a set of Fender strings today from Mark, for the cost of a few quid into the Basschat coffers. All sent and received within a day or two. Top job by a top bloke! Many thanks. Rich
4.
The special thing is that she is hot? And can play too
And that has nothing at all to do with why I have Paz Lenchantin in my list, no no not at all!! Erm and in my avatar pic.....
5.

Nice. But you cant just dump that here and not tell us anything about it....!!!
6. So difficult just to do 5. There was a similar thread a while back for your top 10 and that was difficult enough. Anyhow my 5 at the mo: J J Burnel Andy Rourke Norman Watt-Roy Joe Dart Paz Lenchantin With honourable mentions to Horace Panter, Dave Holland (should really be in the 5) and Krist Novoselic
7.
PM me your address and I'll get them off to you, please feel free to donate your money to a charity if you'd rather. As long as some old strings get used and someone worthwhile gets a few quid then I'm happy.
Ok cool, PM incoming. Money to Basschat is fine with me. I get a huge amount out of the site so only too happy to..
8. If you dont locate the charity mentioned then I will take a set of the Fender nickels off you. Happy to contribute to BC or to a charity for that matter.
9. I will try and actually answer your question this time .... Will definitely be tamer than the JBXN's but still a good output level. I have had no complaints at all, clear and articulate enough for my purposes doing rock covers. I guess it does depend on what exactly you are looking for but for the price, a great set of pickups imho.
10.
Anyone had experiences of the PBX and JBX (Non-Neo) pickups? Are these a little more tame? Do they still have a good level of clarity and articulation?
I have the JBX's in a Harley Benton Standard Jazz and I think they are really good. I cant compare to the JBXN's but I do have the PBXN in a HB P bass and to be honest I dont really like them - the sound is just too big for my liking and I havent really found a tone that I am happy with. PBXN may be for sale shortly!
11. I was reading about this on Facebook yesterday. It seems the chap concerned has a history of this sort of thing too. Really hope you get your bass back.
12. The Blockheads tonight were just awesome! Norman and all the guys on top top form. Haven't smiled so much at a gig in ages. Also a shout out to the support act, Three Kings High who I thoroughly enjoyed. Fab tone from the bassist, clean through an Orange Terror Bass plus some fuzz through (I think) a Fuzz Face pedal. Fender Jazz and a Yamaha RBX a2. Nice.
13. Now back up for sale. As TheGreek says, a 'result' for one of you lucky people. Come grab a bargain!!!!
14.
All up full and then roll back the bridge vol whilst playing a note until the sound thickens - usually only takes a smidge.Classic Jazz Bass sound
So is it best to roll off a smidge of volume on just one pick up then? I tend to roll off a smidge on both because I had read somewhere that that was best. I will try it later and see.
15.
I thought he was a bit rude too. Still, I now know about those headphones which I never knew existed.
Indeed. So next time someone asks the same question, I can get it right first time!!
16.
Welcome to the forum, K450B. Come on into the forum and be condescending and impatient, that's cool.
I'm glad I wasnt the only one that thought that! I just didnt say it. But now I have!!!
17. Get a Vox Bass amPlug. That will do the job. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Vox-AP2-BS-amPlug-Headphone-Amplifiers/dp/B00NAUKJTY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1464767287&sr=8-1&keywords=vox+amplug+2+bass
18. For me, both pups at 100% with the tone usually at around 50% but back up to 100% at times, depending on the mood.
19.
it actually looks like a brand new bass - you sure you have not mixed up the photos with some Squier example from 2015? lovely instrument, glwts
Thanks! I think the previous owner gave it some light use and has then had it packed away for the past couple of decades!! I would say it is as close to mint as you are going to get on a 'used' 20 year old bass.
20. Oooh I've been eyeing one of these up for a while. The all black with the matching headstock looks fab.
