    Selling my Music Man Cutlass. This bass is incredibly well built and beautifully simple. It oozes quality, it feels like the most expensive bass I’ve ever played (even though I’ve played much more expensive!) everything is just so well made and put together. it’s very comfortable to play, the neck heel is a thing of beauty in itself. The maple neck is usual p bass style. Vintage white body with mint green scratch plate. Even the volume and tone knobs feel better than any others I’ve used! I bought this bass new from Guitar Guitar at the start of lockdown. Never gigged, just light home use and practice sessions. Really well looked after, and completely stock. mots got a tiny mark at the top of the headstock and a tiny dint on the bottom of the body as pictured, otherwise it’s mint. Comes with original Music Man hard case which I’ve never used so is mint. The Music Man p bass pickup is wonderful. Like a P bass on steroids. Big chunky pole pieces for a fat tone. Great clean and loves to get dirty. I’ve enjoyed owning and playing this bass, it’s a superb instrument but I’ve developed a realisation that I love Ibanez SR’s far too much, so moving this on to get another! Don’t want to post it.     I got my ampero a few days ago. Already love it! The stock patches are ok for bass but making my own is superb. Really clean and crisp sound, huge array of options. This thing is outstandingly good. It’s going to be my main rig going in to the bands PA.

    I just painted a martini racing bass. had to order the matching strap! It’s on the way! I remembered Right on doing a race series. Very much up my street.

    It sounded good with the preamp on, not great without! ive put a bare knuckle 58 p bass pickup in it and now it sounds immense!!!! really top quality tone, my number one bass now. deep bass with a that sits just above the mix, without overpowering. enough to stand out and be present in a good way. really well made, great to play. im not very good with neck types but it seems precision like to me. not too thin but not chunky. so after a pickup swap it’s my number one bass. my music man cutlass feels nicer to play but this plays really well and the sound on this is killer. I read somewhere that it’s like a Squier classic vibe in terms of quality and I agree. before the pickup swap it was pretty good but not up to my standards.

    I just bought a Samick Greg Bennett Corsair bass. its 2002 made in Korea, and has an active preamp with pj pickups. im struggling to find many with this two part scratch plate and none in this colour! wondering if anyone has any information about these… it’s a nice bass, rolled fretboard and good frets, very nicely made. im certainly very happy with it!

    Couldn’t get a good sound out of it, really muddy. swapped it for a Glockenklang 2 band eq and it was far better. P bass pickup was good but the Musicman bridge pickup was really thin and nasaly, so never used it.

    I had the mp4-eb. The preamp was really bad. Had to replace it. Body and neck were really good but electronics let it down.

    I’ve got a Toltek 51 P bass pup in mine. gives a woody, deep and thumpy tone with the tone pot rolled off a bit. prefer it to the hot rails I tried before. had to file the scratch plate just a smidge.

    Just put Wilkinson alnicos in mine today. £22 and a massive improvement. much more clarity, much nicer top end and play far better with a bit of dirt

    Black star fly bass. well in budget and a decent home practice amp. There are far better amps but they cost a lot more.

    I own one of those horrific tribute models. Happens to be a truly wonderful guitar , one of the best playing, sounding and looking guitars I’ve ever played! One mans horror is another mans dream I suppose.

    I’d honestly say more for that 6 string guitar thing. sounds great on guitar.
