1. Search for DeOliveira basses. You'll find them on Facebook too. p.s. Seller's up here in Scotland so if he wont post maybe one of us up here will help.
2. Dinner time yesterday I'm smoking a fag and deleting emails,it's kinda cold and the day's dragging something terrible Among the junk, one says "You're a Winner". " Aye right" says I an goes to bin it,then I spot it's from Wunjo. Didn't think they were in the habit of sending junk emails so I open it. Bloody hell !! Forgot I'd entered last weeks competition, now I've won the thing Even better was Wunjo don't hang around, 12.45pm was the email telling me my good fortune and asking my address. 3pm today it was delivered What can I say except Thanks Very Much

Mark had a G4M neck for sale last, as it had a harpoon like head (think Peavey) I was interested. Turned out he was expecting to hear from me Poor bugger took a helluva hit from Parcelforce but remained upbeat as usual. Neck arrived today, packing was top notch. Not much more I can say except those folk's comments above aren't lies Mark's a great fella and a true credit to BC.
4. I had one very similar except it said Shine on the the headstock. Early Harley Bentons were built by Saein (Shine) so it's probably the same bass. Decent bass, 2 truss rods (both dual action),Artec pickups and preamp. Come to think of it, that's a lot more than just a decent bass Somebody "over t'hill" is snagging a real bargain
5. I've an old Peavey Patriot with a dodgy neck. @alyctes suggested DGCF instead of BEAD for less tension, but no floppiness, and it worked a treat Must admit I do like the way it sounds.
6. Tom Waits just lead into NOFX. Now it's Catatonia. Don't you love random playlists
7. Saw I might be due £16 duty/handling fee on £39 tuners :( Dropped through letterbox half hour back :)

You do know I didn't actually have to pay the £16.

No.  Should I put on some soothing whale song and light a joss stick maybe?  Owt to do with Royal Mail stresses me out I'm afraid.

But go on...

English Fred and The Baubles would be a great band name. Though I'm not sure whether I'd rather be English Fred or merely a Bauble. Whaddya mean, 'I AM a Bauble'..?? YOU'RE a bloody Bauble!

8. @tom1946 Got laid off this afternoon so PM me your address and I'll make a template for you tomorrow. You should have it by the weekend.
9. Thomann aren't stupid, the basic models like the PB-20 & JB-20 are perfectly acceptable basses. If they were crap there's the risk folk would just give up,that means no further business. By offering a nice bass for peanuts chances are the learner will stick with it and maybe buy their upgrade from Thomann. I much preferred the full scale PB-20 to the Squier Affinity P-bass.
10. 93%. Stripey Mustang/Musicmaster type thing got me.
11. Thanks Donny but I reckon I've enough of them.
12. Sunday night I was at the Alice Cooper show in Glasgow. Missed The Tubes and most of The Mission. The bass player Chuck Garric had a busy night, Halo of Flies was epic performance. About an hour in I spotted a thin dark haired fella in shades behind the curtain and was certain I'd glimpsed a spangly bass. Had no idea Dennis Dunaway,Neal Smith and Michael Bruce were doing the Reunion segment outside the US. What was already a brilliant gig just got better.
13. @Phil_T I never use the buttons either. There's a marked increase in volume using the silver box Behringer instead of just plugging into the mixer. Since I mainly play a single coil P-bass with flats I appreciate the kick in volume,
14. @Sibob Naw. Too late I bought the silver Behringer for £15 s/h ages back. @Phil_T Were you using the - 20Db pad buttons ?
15. @Sibob If I'd known about the Orchid for £36 I'd have bought one :-)
16. Behringer Ultra DI 100. £30,built like a tank,no preamp just a DI box. Needs a battery unless there's phantom power involved. http://www.music-group.com/Categories/Behringer/Signal-Processors/DI-Boxes/DI100/p/P0062
17. Saw and heard the Billion Dollar Bass tonight and it was great :-)

18. Had the Kay EB100. Terrible thing !!
19. When the hell did Thomann sell them ?? I'm certain it's never been listed in the last 3-4 year.
20.
Coke and JD are great together
Personally I always found JD too sweet already.
21.
I think I sold it to someone in the west country, as if that matters.
This one came from Bodmin,Cornwall so there's a slim chance it was yours
22. Had a feeling these would be tied in with the Peavey/Jack Daniels stuff. Sure as fate they are. Look at the back of the packet on these acoustic strings. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Jack-Daniels-Acoustic-Guitar-String-10S-Set-with-Free-Shipping/122748075675?hash=item1c945afe9b:g:rUsAAOSw53NY~mKT
23. Alice Cooper next Sunday.
