  1. Afraid I don't know any thing about Martch but first impression was It's Ali Express only written in Polish. Fodera look-a-likes,Wooten Ying/Yang a-likes,the Lemmy Ric a-like are all too familiar. Nothing to stop them getting them built in China with their logo and if the builders hear about and serve a C&D just shut up shop. I may well be wrong, just my opinion from following your link. We've a fair few Polish members on BC so ask in the general discussion section. Might be an idea just to link the home page in case it's viewed as advertising.
  2. Wow Blue you surprise me,never took you for a fan of Morris dancing.
  3. Blue The man's name is Berry!
  4. Been on an early 80's kick recently, lots of SLF getting played, last few days Rat Trap has getting a go.Haven't heard it for years so I'm having fun working the parts from memory.
  5. I bought one of these 2nd hand a few years back for £150,making this an absolute steal.
  6. Stax for me. A very long time back Joe Hubbard recommended a Motown compilation " Chartbusters vol 3 or 5 ?" As I really only listened to punk this was a departure for me. Boy I'm glad I bought it as I started looking for Soul and R&B in the record shops, which of course lead me to Stax. Mavis Staple,Booker T,Otis,Issac Hayes ! Oh the talent is astonding. While Motown is still great as is Fame/Muscle Shoals, Stax and it's close ties to the civil rights movement give it the edge for me. Just thankful we've got all 3.
  7. Bought mine 2nd hand in 95 because it was the nearest thing to a Bass Maniac> Fantastic bass and still a joy to play. As TheGreek says you will not find a better bass at £150. Can't understand why it's not gone yet.
  8. Over the years I've heard good things about Bacchus. It's hard to tell from the videos cause with your standard of playing You'll make a wash tub bass sound amazing..
  9. Hmmm 196 ? Atomic mass of gold ? Last digits of service number ? Elephant & Castle bus route ?
  10. Can't say I've had many garbage basses, things like my Washburn ABT aren't great but in 87? I thought it was great (1st active ). What was crap was the tulip shaped Kay out the catalogue 2nd bass and even then I knew it was junk and it was a supposed upgrade from some ancient Japanese semi hollow with 3 strings, holes covered up by plywood nailed on,a pickup nailed in and the tuner pegs were missing so I used pliers
  11. Now that is a lovely bass there Doc J. It's interesting that Sarzo,Ellefson and Jeff Berlin all had similar thoughts - they had to be great basses that most folks could afford. I really need to get myself a Sarzo sometime. Who knows maybe 2016 is the year
  12. Holy Moly !!! Vigier. Living proof that GAS never dies. First saw them in Guitarist 30 odd year back and wanted one ever since. Little time and even less ability mean they're far above my needs. But I still wants one
  13. Wow. Over a year since a post, the Peavey clan has grown dramatically in that time. Here's the American side of things, B-90,Dyna,Forum.Foundations,Furys,G-Bass, Patriot,Resolite and the T-series 40,45,20. I'll assemble the Far Eastern branch another time. [attachment=207899:Peavey USA.jpg]
  14. Check the Rickenfakers FB page. Somebody there could recommend you a seller.
  15. Yeah Doc J only 4 built. Peavey customer services are shut till New Year so no info from them for a while, but after 23 years will anyone still be there that remembers
  16. Now why'd I no think of that. Cheers Doc J I'll try again [attachment=207898:Resolite 2.jpg]
  17. What does this mean ? New Peavey prototype day !! Start of the month I got my second copy of Peavey guitars and the Resolite gets a mention but it was never put into production. Two weeks later lo and behold one comes up for auction. Now the book says 4 were built and 2 came to Europe, according to folks on various Peavey groups only 2 have been spotted. A red one sporting a hipshot and a black one in the UK.This is the UK one. It's been a good year and I'm on track to own one of every Peavey model so I bid and won, actually given the highish price and general Peavey apathy I was the only bidder.Judging by the damage to the case this one's lucky to still be here.So that's me the proud owner now. Ultra light at 7lb,PJ hollowed chamber, strange for a Peavey 2+2 headstock, volume, blend, tone. I must admit to some second thoughts as another £100 odds would nearly see a USA Cirrus or possibly a Sarzo but it's here now and a worthy addition to the Peavey clan.Only thing I can think of as to why it never made production cause it's a decent wee bass is proposed selling price and production cost didn't tally. It's murder to photograph but here it is [attachment=207896:Resolite.jpg]
  18. Perfect bass for me 2015 is the Super-P from Retrovibe. Split P,MM and with the mini switch option SC bridge. Oh and it has a torty scratchplate
  19. You assumed right. I worded the reply badly.
  20. The jack output on mine has high z & low z outputs but whether they're wired that way inside I couldn't say. It's a B-30 BK. The bass uke preamps definitely have both.
  21. He certainly is a fine player, can't remember what I was looking for but when I saw the site thought " yeah bookmark that one " Glad it was of interest. And you're right ,a smile wouldn't hurt him
  22. Martin Bashir plays bass, according to wiki he's got an album called Bass Lion. He also interviewed Victor Conte and Prince William's mam so it's a " plate of shrimp " deal.
  23. Don't know if it's of much use, don't know any gospel to compare it with, but a while back I stumbled across this site. http://www.gospelbasslines.com/
  24. Bought a pedal from Paul. Dead easy purchase, quick delivery and well packed. Top Man
  25. @Naetharu It was some Japanese semi hollow with 3 rusty strings, the controls were mounted on a plywood plate nailed to the body (big hole where they were originally) pickup was held in by nails too.The tuner pegs were missing so I used pliers to tune it. For £1 it was a bargain. Played it through the music centre. Downgraded to the tulip shaped Kay, was a mistake that
