1.
Some complaints that that these are quite modest in overall volume, given the high wattage, and that the fan's noisy? Would you agree?
Hmmm, yes I'm a little skeptical about the overall output volume, probably not 800W but still easily loud enough for most band situations i should imagine. I will be trying the RetroGlide in a band context later this week at a rock band rehearsal and then a reggae gig at the weekend. I didn't think the fan was over noisey in my opinion. I've also just acquired a TC BH250 head and i thought the fan on that was considerably noisier by comparison. As I say what i do like is the simplicity of the EQ for tonal variation, it feels more targeted at certain frequencies to get your sound (hope that makes some sense), and I did also like the core tone. It has a nice warmth with the 100hz boosted to get a vintage vibe but equally with tweaking a bit you can get good modern sounds. I like it but have only tried it at home so far, I would not pay the high prices for it but i feel i got a good amp for the £340 i paid from Andertons.
2. Great to see you here Pedro, enjoy
3. It is a pleasure to leave Pedro, aka dirtyharry, his first feedback comments here. By his own admission he has been reading Basschat for many years but has been hesitant to contribute until now due to a lack of confidence in his English writing skills...that said Pedro's English is better than mine reading through our PM communications. Pedro has now introduced himself to the forum and I feel Basschat has gained another good guy. So, I sold Pedro a Markbass combo 2x10" and sent it to his home country of Portugal. All went super smoothly with great communications throughout. Total trustworthy guy in my opinion and I would have no hesitations to deal with him again.
4.
Seems very affordable to me, especially compared with GAK's retail price. http://www.ebay.co.u...725.m3641.l6368
Just bought one of these and I'm really impressed - great core tone and a lot of tonal variation with the EQ, nice warmth - very powerful too. I payed £340 for mine from Andertons but some retailers have had them up for over £700.
5. Another hassle free sale with Greg, as usual faultless and a perfect gentlemen all round. Highly recommend and a credit to BC. Cheers, Lee
6. The Eden WT550 is a classic. However don't underestimate Carvin gear, the BX1500 I owned sometime back was a monster....that said I did sell it 😂
7. Perhaps consider Carvin? Pretty sure they do two ohms, very clean sounding too.

12. Wow! No ones asked the costings yet ? (I could quite fancy something like this myself one day )
13. Got this not so long back in a trade via here with the fine bass chatter Mickeyboro. Plans have fallen through for needing this wonderful combo now and I'm mostly using in ears at present, or occasional seperates. The combo is in fine fettle and sounds great, comes with a Roqsolid cover too. Original Basschat sale post here for detail: http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry3332092 Looking for £545 collection from Plymouth, can courier at extra risk & costs to the buyer. Trades i'd be interested in with cash adjustments as necessary are: Markbass 102p 2x10 Traveler cab, or possible Barefaced cabs. Markbass TTE 800, Aguilar TH500 ....or I guess try me on other 500W-1000W+ small Amps Basses, 4 string only please - may consider fretless.
14. SOLD Drop your tuning at the flick of a switch - great for drop D tuning. Got one of these sitting unused: £45 posted Stock pic: The Hipshot BT8 Bass Extender Key helps you strike the low end on your electric bass with confidence. The key fits 2008 and newer Fender American Standard Precision and Jazz Bass 4-string models. Now you only need one bass on the stage to tackle complex drop tunings, as these keys unlock ultra-precise bass tone. Installation is a snap, and once the Hipshot bass extender key is in, you're ready to go.
15.
The weight has always put me off, I remember reading about a collector who had two, the "light weight one came in at 15lbs the heavy one at a back breaking 22lbs!
These are probably the Ibanez Studio model, very similar to the Musician model but significantly heavier - for the tone I guess. I've had both briefly and the Studio was close to 15lbs whereas my old Musician was 11lbs from memory...still too heavy so I sold that one too but as already said they're truly great basses and tone monsters.
16. Out of interest which version of Logic ?

18. Did a great trade with Steve, my P & cash top up for his Marvit Custom. Steve is a lovely chap and we now continue to converse via Facebook too. 100% trustworthy and has some fantastic bass gear that I'm truly envious of. Really happy with the trade and Steve had kindly allowed me to pay my cash top up in installments - top bass chatter all round - buyers & sellers can deal in total confidence
19. Looks a lot like a Ryder body? They're great!
20. Ooh very nice indeed! I have a VanderEnd Jazz i got in trade on here a while back and it has been my go to jazz ever since, love it! - it may quite possibly have come from the OP at some point (P route under pickguard) ? I've since made a few mods to mine, such as a pickguard from Scratch-It, and as I say I really love the bass, VanderEnd is top quality and playability. If i had some spare monies this would be mine to have a rosewood version.....the new buyer will be very happy GLWTS Here's mine:
21. What a beauty, I keep getting drawn to this despite employing GAS avoidance therapy techniques What trades you looking at and does the tone work in passive mode ?
