Yeah love JTQ, 'A few useful tips about living underground" is awesome but Corduroys 1st album think its called 'Dead mans cat' is a fav
-
I've got one that i take out with my party festival band, really like it (although would swap for Ampeg BR2E-hint) - will be using it tonight playing mashed up prog rock & dub in the early hours. Can get good bass out of it for my sound too!!!
-
Bit old but Galactic, Lettuce, G-love & the special sauce, Cordroy are worthy of a check if you haven't already
-
I use two SVT 4x10HLF's - they're very boomy bassy cabs if that makes sense, ideal for my dub sound. I think the Eden would give you more mids but the HLF is one hell of a cab for dub!!!

I briefly noticed Shakira's bassist switched between 4 & 5 strings....however i didn't notice what basses they were as i was totally transfixed with her hips & bootie
This used to be my Bass, Bought it new from soundslive in Newcastle & had all the mods done by Dave Wilson http://www.dwilsonguitars.com/ I'd have this back in a flash if I had the spare money !!! Good Luck with the sale... Ghost Rider
Cheers ghost, yeah really nice bass...its sounds superb with the new PU's too. I'm really torn between pursuing another bass like a Hohner Jack bass or keeping it but then its too nice to sit around being a spare bass.
! IMO pre Ernie Ball is the only real Ray. None and I mean none of the EB Rays I've tried come close to the real deal. It's only my opinion!!! So appologies to any EB Ray fans.
+1 For Pre EB's
Well here it is http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...mp;#entry871050 A few dings don't bother me
ah niceness, i'm gonna have a good think about this over the weekend. How do you rate the bottom end of Ibanez for ska & reggae ?
-
I've got an Ibanez ATK300 if that interests you? Also do you have the original pickguard?
Yeah could be interested. Only got White pick guard i'm afraid. Must also add there is a dink under the bridge PU where i dropped the pliers when changing pick ups, apart from that the bass is pretty mint.

SOLD TO DREADALERT Considering having a change. Possibly looking for Hohner Jack bass, Classic Vibe Jazz or P (particularly 51 reissue), Jap P (can add small amount of cash) or WHY.....try me i can only say no. Some pics here from the guy i bought it off http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...5&hl=squire - looks a lot like a 75 reissue, the decal is really well done!!! The original PU's will be added but i am really impressed with the Entwhistles. The Tortoise pickguard in the new pics is a bit dodgy as it has been butchered in the past but you can have both this and the prisitine white pick guard-soft case too. or Will accept quick cash sale for £200+P&P - BARGAIN!!!! (worth it with all the mods easily)
Thinking about getting another one and having it sprayed lake placid blue - with the tort plate it will look superb!
My apologies for going off topic but where do you send your bass bodies to be sprayed Lake Placid Blue? I've got a musicman body that i want to get done someday. What sort of cost is something like this? Been looking at the CV Squire P too but have decided on the CV Squire Biffy Jazz as that too is Lake Placid Blue...and well i'm a J before P man - who knows P maybe on the cards one day, really like that LPB 51 reissue P also but can only afford one Squire soon and i'm 99% sure its going to be the Biffy having recently tried one.
