1.
the jaydee sound pissed all over the alembic sound end of... pangborn was cool too!!! good luck with the sale man, wish i had the money i would have it in a flash x
I admire conviction in one so young..... however I base my opinion on owning 8 Alembics and 5 Jaydees, and it is MY opinion, not a statement of fact, I do not presume to confuse my opinion with fact, nor should you.
 2. Try DR Hi Beams, all the brightness of the pro-steels with more mid range and a bigger fundamental Nice under your fingers too as they are medium tension even with 45-105's When I used to tune down I used Ernie Balls, felt the same as DR's in standard tuning
 3. Bloody cheek John gettin grumpy with anyone copying a Jaydee..... What's a Jaydee ? Poor man's Alembic !!!! Mark King wanted an Alembic but couldn't afford one...... soon as he was in a position to get himself a bic he dumped the Jaydee !!!
 4. Hi.... i've heard a 750 through a HS410 and it's awesome..... also heard it through a pair of HS210's same if not better !! However, i'm now using SWR cabs (Goll III & SOB) and it's killer...... A really good match for the 750's grunt. Adding an EBS MultiComp to the equation just makes it perfect !
 5.
Whats important if you are gigging is not so much the sound on stage but the sound the audience hears. Jazz basses tend to get lost in the mix but I've had so many good comments about the RBIV's tone and its ability to cut thru and be heard.
sorry...... can't let that one past Jazz Basses lost in the mix ? Can't say i've ever found that to be the case, either on stage playing or mixing Last time I saw Geddy Lee I heard him pretty clearly !! Adam Clayton get's heard OK Last time I heard "BossHog" play his 66 Jazz live in a club against 2 guitars he cut through like a hot knife through low calorie spread
 6. Re Elixers they'll not last long if you play with a pick...... the coating come off after a couple of songs I hate the damn things..... I bought 2 sets for a pair of gigging basses, strung them up and they were on less than an hour horrible !!!!
 7. John came over for a cuppa left some cash and took away a rather nice Fender !! Should call him "Fenderhunt" after his recent exploits
 8.
where is your front door?
Sunderland
 9. OK....... so that's me up to date with the PM's I guess it could have sold at least 3 times over from the PM's in the last couple of hours.... meanwhile.... a certain cheeky chappie up north snook in on the blind side with a text to clinch the deal !!! Hence Sold Pending the folding stuff
 10.
Hi Is the body solid wood or is it veneered? Thanks
?? Solid Alder.....

Regards Mark

 15.
Living with this Squier & Lakkie JO I'm kinda getting used to those big old planks! The weight is my main consideration these days, I knew your UV was light but I didn't realise it was 'that' light.
Aye...... it's a lot lighter than most NYC Sadowskys !! Although..... i'm not sure i'm supposed to say that in public !!!
 16.
Marcus really knows what he's talking about when it comes to basses! so you buy/trade with confidence looking forward to seeing the pics
Hey Chris..... you're not so shabby ya'self mate !! Been listening to your Demo CD again this week, looking forward to hearing your full studio recording ATB Mark
 17.
You just know what I'm going to ask... ?lb
It's a Big Body man !! It's a smidge under 9lb (on my bathroom scales) as a comparison my Ultra light Sadowsky UV 70 Metro is 8 1/4 lb (as measured by Dave Wilson on his scales) I'd class it as a "good weight" for a Jazz to me that means on the light side of mid weight
 18. Hi Guys, I have a rather nice Fender Jazz USA 1995 Alder Body, Sunburst, Rosewood board. White Pickguard Everything Original recently taken by me as PX for something else.... Anyone who knows me will know I don't buy crap Jazz Basses so be assured this one is a goodun !! Also..... anyone who knows me knows I don't mess about buying and selling stuff once i've made my mind up on something !! So the price is....... £SOLD collected from my front door I'm afraid the Bass was seperated from it's case at some point in the past, I can provide a good Ritter Gig Bag for a Tenner Very Very Growly tone, one of the best back pickup sounds i've heard from a Jazz Bass, in Passive mode the "Trad Jazz Bass" tone is a match for my Sadowsky (It's a different ball game in active mind) few little minor scuffs and little bit of belt rash but overall in super condition for a regularly gigged 14 year old bass PM me or call me on 07818 044187 ATB Mark
