  1. Love Will Tear Us Apart - Joy Division. Massively overrated, not half as good as some of their output. Highway To Hell - AC/DC. I play in a covers band and this lot get called for all the time, drives me mad as I can't stand them and have to play this dirge. Summer of 69 - Bryan Adams. Bloke in my local puts this on the jukebox every time he's in there without fail. I will eventually take an axe to either the jukebox or him. Or both.
  2. Tough choice this month, shall we dance? 🕺💃
  3. I'm loving what I've heard so far from this lot.
  4. No vote up yet?
  5. Here's mine, all done on a Yamaha YPT-240 keyboard. Oi, oi, saveloy, get on one, sorted, nice one, big fish, little fish, cardboard box etc.
  6. Last Friday at Fuelers Bar at Santa Pod Raceway for the European Finals. Fantastic night yet bittersweet as it was the last time that we'll play there. Great crowd as always. Only one more gig for us now before we call it a day.
  7. Playing here tonight (6th), last but one gig before we knock it on the head. Played at Pod many times and it's always a cracking atmosphere, will certainly miss it.
  8. New album soon, woo hoo 😎
  9. 👏👏👏 Congratulations squire, sterling work once again 🤠
  10. Just in time. This one features a ridiculously slowed down sitar which is the drone/backing track, effects, thumb piano, bowed psaltery, an ol' Satellite bass, some brief sampled drum kit hits and a normal speeded, detuned sitar too. Vocals by Beyoncé, ha, no, by Mrs UD. It's a toe-tapping dancefloor filler!* *Please note - it's far, far, far from a toe-tapping dancefloor filler.
  11. Listening to Jah Wobble with PiL or Steve Harris with Iron Maiden. Two very different approaches, they both sounded like the most important and interesting sonic situations going on in their bands. And, obviously, Lemmy.
  12. Thanks, y'all. My (joint) win is dedicated to 'The Groaners', Newton Road Junior School's very own anti-choir. SEE, TEACHER? MY VOICE DONE GOOD! IN YOUR FACE, MRS BULL! Ahem. 39 years gone. How carthartic. Picture to Skol303 follows shortly.
  13. Jah Wobble Lemmy Jean-Jacques Burnel And last, and definitely least, SId Vicious 😜
  14. Cheers for the heads up, I'll be giving that a listen.
  15. Dedicated to 'The Groaners', those gravelly-voiced outcasts from Newton Road Junior School Choir, circa 1980. Violin bass, electric saz, Hydrogen drums and, for a change, some words. I won't call them vocals. And nor should you.
  16. Short for Geraldine, no? Gender down as female, after all. Regardless, we're going to be very happy together 👫
  17. I had this message too. It has since disappeared. A quick Google of the name came up with this. The good news is that she loves me ❤️
  18. I Love the Sound of Breaking Glass by Nick Lowe. Someone else carry on, I'm nowhere near a bass.
  19. Well done, that man! Another month of tremendous ditties. I look up with admiration 🤠
  20. Everyone to turn up on time and to have their parts well rehearsed and ready to go. This has never happened 😫
  21. Madness tonight at Northampton's Rugby Stadium. Mark Bedford is a mighty fine bass player.
  22. Bang goes my bronze medal 😄
  23. Hands off my bronze medal!
  24. Here we go again. Bouncy, poppy-punky bopalong with words kindly supplied by Billy Shakey.
