1. I love it - HMV were selling them for £2.99 recently. Over the years I must have bought 7 or 8 copies of this - because it's so cheap (and so good) I keep giving it away to friends who should watch it and buying another!
2.
Nice one dude - thanks for that.... Just snagged one - AND eBay are doing a PayPal coupon offer - so I got £5 OFF the postage as well!
Oh! How do I find/get a coupon?
3.
It's very useful, but personally I'd recommend guitar pro which is better in pretty much every way... you can download a demo of that from the website
Thanks
4.
Im not sure how people feel about the program but i used powertab and got the song down in no time
Sorry - what is 'powertab'? Never come across it. (I can guess that it's an automatic tabbing programme, but can anyone explain in a nutshell?)
5. At some point I'd like to get a '75 jazz - that's my birth year so it would be nice to grow older with something my own age (my wife's a bit younger!)
6.
Any idea who the drummer is?
I don't know his name, but I saw him play in the summer at a jam night with Prince's horn section (sans Maceo). Very groovy indeed. Randomly, the keyboard player in Mark Ronson's band's a distant cousin of mine, and the horn section are old friends - check them out as the Haggis Horns, great music, see them live if you like your funk.
7.
start with 00 steel wool - don't worry if it looks pants - rub hard - then move on to 0000 - it will look slightly less pants - rub even harder - then (the 'secret' step) move on to car 'swirl remover'. If you end up too shiny again, go back to the 0000 It's hard work !
Thanks for that - I've sanded floors (also hard work), but I'll have to do the kitchen table before my Epi!
8. Looks great - I've a blonde Sheraton and you've given me some ideas for it (especially removing the varnish!)...
9. I did the Jazz degree at Leeds, graduated in 97. I moved to London, developed tendonitis and ended up going to law school for a year (I majored in performance and having a music degree without being able to play limited job options). I can't say too much about the course now, but at the time it was very much like a YTS scheme - the ethos was 'we will prepare you to be able to earn a living on your instrument, you have to find the opportunities'. I had some great teachers and still practice some of the things they showed me. To be honest though, I learned more from the other musicians on the course than the course itself. But that was early days of the degree. I'm now a lawyer specialising in music / media contracts and IP - even though I'm not a working musician I enjoy helping others be.
10. That's such a bargain. Lovely bass.
11. Damn - I'm looking at doing just the same, with pretty much the same collection (BP from 1990)! Are 2 people interested...?
12. Piano => double bass => guitar => BASS GUITAR => mandolin and most recently have been working on the ukulele
13.
+ 1 - my fave album and IMO Rush at the height of their fame. I am a secret drummer and that album is just awsome to play along to! I am off to see them on the 12th at the NEC - last time was on the Bones album tour. The reviews I have read so far look good - look out for plenty of air drumming and air guitar....
I am an air drummer, and whilst Exit Stage Left is one of my top air drums albums, my no.1 is Physical Grafitti. I am brilliant at that.
14. 2112 Exit Stage Left
15. Most expensive first through to cheapest last - order them by RRPs, not what you paid for them
16. The whole of Exit Stage Left
17. Bump - go on then, £850 and it's yours. I'll give you the gourd for free.
18. Sorry, but I think Flea's great. I learned loads from Blood Sugar Sex Magik as a 16yr old when it came out - through that I found the Meters, P-funk - his playing's rarely flash on that album - he's got a lot more than 1 trick - that was the criticism of his 90mph slap style, and he's not really done that for 18 yrs! Mind you, I'm not really a Mark King fan - I appreciate he has talent, but it's not my kind of thing. Maybe it's the songs....? I'd write more but I'm off to bed now.
19. Who's the second guitarist/keys? and why?
20. The bass player's job is to make the drummer sound good - Jack Bruce. Hopefully, there's a good drummer to start with...

Other than the size, is there any difference between the normal EH pedals and the mini-ones?
24.
MB1. What bass you got gas for?
The one in my Avatar. Silver Sparkle just did it for me. Now I just need to find a disco band...
