The results : The Shuker looks the nicest The Warwick plays the nicest The Lodestone sounds the nicest !
  2. Lovely bass - where are you located ? Any trade options ?
  3. Bit of aging always adds value !

  5. it so needs to live in my house !
  6. is it the warranty that comes with the second one ?
  7. I've got a couple - the Ortega D-Walker which has a tiny scale (and tinny sound) but is great for just noodling on the couch. And the Ibanez which sounds better but I just never bother with it. Acoustic probably makes up 1% of my bass playing time !
  8. Guess they need to cover their operating costs !
  9. Didn't the unholy union produce the Perspiration Deluxe 4
  10. Thought that was a really honest response, it's nice to know the background info on SBL website production and much appreciated.
  11. It looks like a pile of trap to me !
  12. My job is to accurately define software solutions before resource is devoted to their development or purchase. ( so funds aren't wasted !) Can I define what I want / need in a bass - not a chance - it changes from minute to minute ! I think I've probably had my holy grail more than a dozen times and then sold it as I've seen something new and shiny.
  13. I just love buying guitars and basses - it's what brings me joy and they are forever in and out. No regrets selling any of them. I bought a fret king last night for £250 and this brought me as much joy as spending thousands on the Zakrzewski's, Fibenare's etc. I would say i get as much enjoyment from buying as i do in playing.
  14. I've so been tempted to sign up to SBL but don't think I could stand the format of the lessons if its 20 minutes of yabber before you get started, which is the impression I get. Happy to be corrected if it isn't like this. Scott seems a really likable, entertaining and talented guy but time is precious and I'd just want to get on with studying.
  15. I know - been used to post something else in the meantime !
  16. The B.C. Rich Mockingbird MK3 four-string bass offers great tone and playability—and plenty of eye-catching stage presence. With a pair of active split-coil pickups and a proprietary 9-volt preamp, you'll never be short on punishing low-end punch feeding into your amp. And the control layout provides a master volume, blend volume and high- and low-end adjustments for ultimate tone control. Awesome bass in excellent condition Collection only from Liverpool - no case or box to post in unfortunately.
  17. Obviously he's promised the wife he'll sell it if she lets him have another bass !
  18. Just made me a purple pearl pickguard for a guitar - it was £75 but worth every penny. Would definitely use them again.
  19. Insanely low price for a bass of this quality . Have a bump !
  20. Got to agree - as I said earlier it has outlived my Shukers, ACG's, Overwaters, Maruszycks which says a lot. I was sickened recently as I try and keep all my basses absolutely pristine and the Lodestone was a shining example - I was up in the loft and the glass shade fell off the light straight through the hatch and put a ding in the body 🤢
  21. The fretmarkers look like prawns !
  22. The headstock is the best bit !
  23. i contacted them and they said they are just ex demo. I've got one of the Primal Artists (cost me £1200) - and it has outlasted every other bass in my armoury. It's a lovely bass (marmite design especially the headstock ) - could do with better shielding but other than that I love it.
