3.
With your current bass line up why would you want a G&L at any price?
why not? they're great basses capable of a whole range of tones.
4. the switches on an L2000/L2500 are (from neck to bridge) pickup selector (neck/both/bridge) series/parallel passive/active/active with treble boost the Tribute I used to own was a cracker (used to be jezzaboys before me and he's since bought another)
5. my apologies if this has been put up before you want the middle column. each has a description/tempo & key listings and last a good 3 or 4 minutes each. most of the guitar seems to have blues chord progressions whatever the style but still good to jam along with http://www.freejamtracks.com/
6. great trio! thanks for sharing
7.
All I can say is...if you want a bass like a Ray but with none of the quirks...get a bongo. Simply incredible in every aspect.
Bongos come with their own set of quirks imo. I just got another one last week and I'm enjoying the tones from it but I dont know if I prefer it or would take it over my StingRay5. imo the SR5 in parallel setting with a teensy bit of bass boost just fits in with anything. Never need to change the sound, forget about controls...just play. Its a great bass for that.
8. not at all, I've had GAS for a tanglewood or cort curbow for years. just never got round to curing it the Vintage looks a great bass for the money
9. the SR5 was alnico and then changed to ceramic for a number of years. Its recently changed back to alnico when the sterling 5 came out. the two Stingray 5's I've owned (since bought another last year)both had ceramic magnets according to the dates the basses were made and despite having the same EQ and switching as the Sterling,to my ears anyway, sound a fair bit different. would love to try a Sterling 5 for comparisons sake
10. another happy Godlyke owner here. fantastic basses. One day I'll have a Deity 8 or 10 string
11. I've had this a month now. I got it on here from RayFW. This week I'm going to change back to the parchment plate so I can get at the truss rod (not that it needs adjusting as it is) and anyways,I'm a bit bored overall with white mop. I'm also planning on sticking with flats on this one. cheers Keir
12.
Hanging on the wall in Guitar Guitar, in Glasgow. Played it for about half an hour today. Beautiful bass. Brought back so many good memories of my own Wal ... First things first, this bass has absolutley no connection to me, and I have absolutely no connection to the store or the store's ownership. Priced at £2,000, don't think it'll be there for long. But the man to talk to if you want any more information is Bill Whitelaw.
Bill's a top guy. I've known him for years. how I wish I had the money to talk business with him tomorrow Keir
13. I bought a Bass POD from stevie. was well packed and quick delivery. a top guy to deal with! big apology stevie, this went clean out my head. still better late than never! cheers
14. my old bass and looking at the pics I'm missing her. thinking how I can afford it/what I can offer. best of luck with the sale/trade tony, I sincerely hope it stays in the bc community so even if I dont get it this time,I may have the chance of being able to own it again in the future cheers Keir
15. I definetely will be there. I'm in Kilmarnock so not too far to travel.
16.
Jesus f***ing Christ I really don't need anymore basses do I?
no,not when you're a punk

19. The Echo Park is an brilliant delay pedal. I've a Toneport UX2 and a Pod XT LIve too, but I prefer the delays off the echo park to both of them. I'm never selling mine ever! good luck with the sale
20. I recently took this in part ex against a guitar of mine and as I always wanted to learn I thought I'd put the effort in to do so. Anyway it hasnt worked out like that, time is already constricted enough and I've no time for starting out with saxophone. Also I'm buying a car this week and need to sell a few bits and pieces so this is first up http://s152.photobucket.com/albums/s162/du...r%20Alto%20Sax/ Everything is is working order thoughout. postage would probably work out about £10 or so cheers Keir
21. as good as they are,I dont think the TRibutes feel anything like a USA G&L.maybe the Japanese ones cnt say I've never tried one but the Korean and newer indonesian ones a definite NO
