  1. Yes I had a terrible cough that day!! 😂
  2. Oops, sorry I forgot which of the 30000 accounts I was currently logged in to 😂
  3. Which is of course very true. However, for a completely bespoke option, the answer is ShukerGuitars.co.uk
  4. I’d go with GuitarBuild for a cheap custom solution.
  5. Norwich is down to the last few and even those are struggling. Sadly, this story isn’t about demand for music. The owners of these venues (and more) it has been suggested have gotten themselves in to financial difficulty. It seems, despite these venues turning over a profit (from what I can understand) the owners want more money to cover their own backs instead of investing in the very thing that could help them out of troubled waters. still, no different from the British government eh...
  6. Two other venues have closed in Norwich owned by the same ‘company’. One has announced that the rent will double and that has nailed their future’s coffin lid well n’ truly.
  7. I think I am right in saying EBS does and that the TD650 and HD350 were tweaked for “more low end” in the TD660 and HD360 respectively. I am unsure if the HPF was adjusted, but something in my mind makes me think that was part of the revoicing. TD650 being a superb and tight sounding amp. yum!
  8. Indeed. They are ‘shelving EQ’ types that I suspect will be 12dB/Oct at a guess.
  9. Greetings Professor Falken..
  10. I can confirm there are only 11 Basschatters. The rest is true 😂😂😂
  11. This one appears to be the active version rather than passive.
  12. oh: here they are: https://www.reddogmusic.co.uk/catalog/product/346604/fender-micro-di?gclid=Cj0KCQjwrZLdBRCmARIsAFBZllHwdnUvy2oOTZxr2UsaFdfULo12B7BgeEwz-zqMayM01BV-wvvBkhoaAnDbEALw_wcB Though I am so sure I didn't pay that much!
  13. I've not seen any reviews save for a youtube video of a chap demoing one for guitar, which is what I'd originally bought it for. I stuck my bass through it and was surprised to hear that it sounded rather good. I don't think I have the RTA results, but if I get a moment I'll do it again. From memory there's a nice low and low mid bump and the top end curves off probably down at 3Khz-ish. But there was no loss of low end measured down to 30hz, maybe lower. I'll see what I can sort out. I actually have two of these little chaps in my box of goodies for stereo use.
  14. My trick for instant ‘old skool’ is to use a Micro DI pedal. Either the Mooer version or the Fender rebadged. I think there’s other ‘rebadged’ versions too. It has a ‘speaker sim’ switch on it that in reality is just a complex EQ curve that mimics the “sound” of a 4x12 guitar cabinet. Having run it through an analyser, there’s no roll off on the low end to worry about. It’s a super cheap way of fattening up and adding a dash of chewy mids at the flick of a switch. Oh and it’s a DI pedal that can drive a power amp too. £30 and plug it in to any amp (even an ultra clean D Class) for that drop of vintage.
  15. YAYY!!! Well, as I understand it, I think I recall Dave Ellefson telling me that he records a lot of his bass lines at home on a (much loved) Precision bass. So, I guess the answer is a resounding yes!
  16. I went to the Royal Albert Hall concert! Similarly in a brief moment of pin drop silence we heard someone shout out, "it's got SIX strings!!" Thing is, Fripp seemed to just wander on stage under a single stage light and start. Everyone around me was asking if it was a sound check!
  17. Another One Bites The Dust was the very first bass line I ever learnt!! And yes, I did funk up a bit of AOBTD to see what this lil dude sounds like. It's a big PHAT sound from this one! I guess what some would call "chewy" and "creamy" rather than "zingy", but I might be forced to crack out the last set of Flex Steels I own on it, just to see how they balance (being really bright).
  18. Just adding to the list for others wanting suggestions too, I'm using DeepDish Gig Book on ipad. I liked it better than some of the alternatives but it's probably down to preference and personal ease of use.
  19. Can’t see it myself....... ........ .....
  20. Yeah I will need some Unbelievably Powerful Sedatives to get through another round of Unusually Painful Shipping.
  21. Not just yet! Maybe when I’ve been totally beaten to my wits end. Right now, me and it will be hiding in my man cave dreaming up some badass grooves! It’s definitely coming with me for Amp and pedal reviews!
  22. This month I actually feel like I was born in ‘36 lol!!
