1. I'll upload some pics tomorrow, here's the Line6 website details: http://line6.com/podx3live/ The gallery is flash based so probably easier to click the link here: http://line6.com/podx3live/photogallery.html I have updated the X3 Live to the latest versions of firmware too. £200 including Gator bag, USB cable and power adaptor. Shipping will be £15 to mainland UK.
 2. 'ere ya go biscuit, ma man! ^^^^^^
 3. Yes, I would love to be included. What a lovely gesture too!
 4.
Just did a search on 6 string MM pickups and could only find one, I never really see any 6ers with J pups either, they all seem to be soapbars. How come? Thom
Thom, they are out there - but yes, the 'soapbar' casing for a pickup is much easier and cheaper to manufacture - as it is possible to put different configurations inside the same shaped casing. (So, a 'soapbar' doesn't have a particular tone as such). For example - EMG do J pickups, they are just in the same shell as say a P style, or dual rails. - It also makes it easier for us suffering from G.A.S to swap out completely different types of pickups, if they are all in a similar shell! One day I could have a P bass pup, the next a musicman sounding pickup - but with the EMGs, they just slot right in and I don't even need a soldering iron If you are specifically looking for a six string MM pup, then I recommend either Seymour Duncan or Delano off the top of my head as just two companies who manufacture such a beast!
 5. Yep, worth mentioning that you get the PLI free with the yearly subscription and the £2k worth of insurance is also included free. I found that adding all my other gear to the policy to equal the value of my previous policy (prior to joining the MU) I saved over 50 quid!!!! Not only that, I've certainly benefitted greatly from being in the M.U - even just in a few months I have definitely gotten back the value of my subscription. Well done MU!
 6.
If you like very crisp and super pingy top end (Marcus Miller slap tone) the RH450 isnt suitable. Its more lo-mid focussed. There is PLENTY of definition and treble for me.
I agree with ma man here. The low mids are more focussed and I couldn't quite get the depth of low end I like too - which could be to do with the rest of my signal chain interacting with the amp. - So personal taste there. I wonder if the Stacatto 51 would have been a better choice! Still an amazing head though.
 7. Hmmm, interesting reading!
 8.
The Turbo Rat has no blend of wet and dry signals, so thats out. Any other ideas?
If you can find one, the Rat Juggernaut was a version of the Rat with a dry mix for bass players - if you like that kinda distortion.

 10.
Hey Everybody!!!! I like the new surroundings already!! Glad to be on board.. I stand by the admins and my fellow moderators and would just like to say a MASSIVE thank you to those who have worked soo bloomin hard to get this new forum up and running!
The day BassChat went live after the fun and games of BassWorld v1.0, v2.0 and the short life of 'BassTalk'.
 11. Or longer screws if you have any. Use steel ones, not weaker brass ones that can sheer more easily.
 12.
Are you Keef Richards? I thought he was the last man alive who could get away with calling women 'chicks'. Birds is fine though. Less hippy.
Huh, that's odd. I thought that would be big news.... There's seems to be an absence of a certain ornithological piece? A headline regarding mass awareness of a certain avian variety.. Oh have you not heard? I was my understanding that everyone had heard?
 13.
Me too - works a treat! Why on earth do you need two F1s though, what kind of monster rig are you running?!
Big grin... Well, my main rig is a pair of Hartke Hydrives and the LH1000 - I really wanna get my hands on the new Kilo, which is (or on paper at least) a true stereo head. In the meantime, Hartke don't make a lil F1 sized head - so, just for shits and giggles I have put together a superlightweightanddisgustinglypowerful HiFi Stereo rig! I run (as far as possible) all my effects to the top end so the bottom end gets left alone. I've also found that the added 'muscle' helps reproduce those low notes of my 7 stringer. It's not all showy and 'eeeee look what I've got' or anything, not that kinda guy at all - I just really love listening to yummy stereo effects! So all of that aside, there is something slightly perverse about having all that power in something that weighs well - the whole rack cant weigh anymore than about 6 kilos! I'd have to stick it on some scales - but that's about 1000W! Golly!
 14. Quick update, I've done a conversion on a US F1. It has been running for a good hour whilst I spank the **** out of it and it sounds fine! Fuse in the US model was a T6.3Al and I have swapped it to match my UK F1 @ T3.15Al.
 15.
The picture of the Blacksmith was not pulled It is here Talkbass link Info @ post #269 and pic @ post #274 And no - it is not 900wattish .... But 1.600w in 4 ohms
Ahh thanks HogBob, very much appreciated. Wow - That thing looks immense! Reminds me of the ole IBM Servers I used to work on! BIG with a dominating black fascia. I love the idea and would love to know more about the spec. How heavy etc. If it's the RH450 programmed preamp then I won't be interested, but if they did a Stacatto 51 version (or indeed a preamp that can do both) then I might like to give it a listen out of interest.
 16. ^^^^^ +30!!
 17.
Dood - I'm happy to pick you up on the way past if that helps. I'm in Costessey.
Ahh that's very kind of you - I'm gonna bring Stag and my stack with me so will throw it in my estate. I appreciate the gesture! - Having said that, we could meebe see if there is anyone else in the city or on the way that might wanna cadge a lift. Stag, is Basscat comin'?
 18.
Dan... If i can cadge a lift ill come along! Petrol money in of course. And i can bring some pretty toys too
Yes mate, think I remember sayin' I would last time. No problemo.
 19.
The amps are pretty good. The speakers are a little woolly, but do add some nice growly midrange to a jazz bass.
Yep, same experience here so far. I love the amps in to other cabs, but never got what I wanted from an MB cabinet - but hey, each to their own eh? - loadsa people love 'em.
 20. You are a bad bad man!!! Advertising a stick AND a beautiful PRS as the same time.. come on.. out out out out!!!!
 21. I think this thread has done it's course really. The OP has hopefully realised that BassChat *isn't* a marketplace with a forum tagged on - it's a thriving community of discussion that happens to have an area for selling goods. Coming along and shouting your mouth off (capitals=shouting) about not being able to sell an instrument will not, as has been clearly been seen here, be met with open arms. If anyone has an issue with how the forum is running, then it's best to PM the Mods or Admins, who will be happy to discuss further. George, if you spent more time getting involved with the community, it wouldn't take long for you to realise what a great place this is to be. However, If it doesn't suit what you want or need, You are not being forced to stay here - but there's more than 10,000 people who log in to BassChat who do enjoy it!
 22. Hi Schnozzallee, If you are that way inclined, I would wholeheartedly recommend a headless bass if you have had back or shoulder complaints. I have a Shuker Headless 6 string. Until you've played one, you just don't realise how much weight is hanging off the end of the neck with the headstock and tuning keys. The effect of which is amplified by being at the other end of the fulcrum. I have a dodgy ole back which can give me grief - but I have noticed NO side effects now that I play Headless. I also chose great sounding tone woods for my bass that would be lighter too, for example White Ash wings over normal Ash as it has a similar tone, yet shaves off a bit more weight!
 23. 1) Charic - TC Electronics RH450 & RS210 / ACG Finn4 / Upgraded Fender PBass 2) Lonestar - [Setups] 3) Dood - Shuker Singlecut 7 string and Headless 6 string - can also bring Hartke Hydrive and LH1000 - TC Effects and even a couple of MB F1's to listen to. 4)jonunders - G&L l2500, mark bass LM III, barefaced compact. 5)Jacqueslemac 6)Essexbasscat 7)ESharp (F ) 8)gicut58 9)Moonbass - can bring EUB
 24.
The MM4 must do, although I'm too lazy to check. Edit:- It does indeed.
Awww thanks chap! I hadn't got that far yet! heh heh - Cheers!
 25.
That's some good info, cheers dude (I'm doing some work pretending to be Duff in a G'n'R tribute soon, so quite timely!) - on a strict 'as-little-as-I-can-get-away-with' budget, then, what'd be the most authentic chorus to pick up? Shall shortly have a Precision and Hartke aluminium-coned cab(s), so hopefully that'll get me in the ballpark...
I guess you could try those in Chris' earlier post or indeed TRR's - but if you can get to a guitar shop, see if you can try out one or two different types. Hmmmm.. do line 6 have a chorus/flanger pedal in one box? Or is my memory failing me?
