EBS Reidmar

There's also Reidmar 750 I understand: http://www.iguitarmag.com/news/2015/04/ebs-expands-reidmar-series-with-reidmar-750-lightweight-bass-amp/
2. Genuinely, the gold looks even better in real life! It has a texture to it that seems to change colour as you move the in-ear around! Thanks guys, your help was awesome! Very pleased!
3.
My three, L-R: 1971 Precision Fender Japan/USA Precision Fender Japan/Warmoth P/J upload photo
Nice machines there!
4. Interestingly, my Fender Power Jazz Bass Special also has a reversed P pickup as standard - the (passive version) Jazz Bass Special had the more familiar placement.
5. I meant to get round to post these babies! Here are my 1964ears V8 models that I ordered through the rather awesome Custom IEM Company.
6.
Congrats & welcome to the Dingwall club! I'd planned on getting a Combustion util a trip to BD saw me buy a Z3... So much for will power!
Similarly, I ended up with an AB1 instead of a combustion! But I still want a combustion too! Welcome to the club!!
7. If you are using distortions, I;d be careful with any cabinet that has a tweeter in it - you'll probably find that you'll want to turn the tweeter level all the way down or off. If you are using the likes of the Big baby or Big Twin II, then I'd treat them more like a PA cabinet (as they do that job incredibly well) and run some sort of speaker simulator app or pedal in the effects loop before running the guitar signal out to the cabinet. You may find things sound a bit brittle and raspy without. Anyone who has plugged a high gain guitar distortion pedal straight in to a PA will know what I mean! Euurghhh!!!

9. Brilliant rock solid drivers and a superb piece of hardware.

11. it's definitely a twin coiled driver. When using one coil you get 8 ohms and when using both in parallel you get the 4 ohm value. I've got a sub speaker for my car that configures the same way too in order to make it a 2 ohm driver as it has two 4 ohm coils. IIRC the cabinet rating is the lowest of the RMS ratings that the configurations will give you hence why there's only one value for both settings. But yes, do ask Larry - he answers his mobile too and is a top notch guy.
12. I've not heard the Big Twin T, but I've been testing out the Big Twin II recently and have to say it's a very impressive and capable cabinet. I'm enjoying it's ability to reproduce recorded material accurately - I've played CDs through the cab and would happily use a pair for PA usage. Of course for bass guitar it really shines. Lots of clarity and weight in the sound despite having very little weight to worry your back over. This cabinet is showing itself to be my new favourite - and gawd only (and most of basschat actually) knows I've been through a great deal of boxes!!
13. A horizontally aligned Big Twin II, so you can stack another two horizontally aligned Big Twin II cabinets on top.
14. Captain Sensible once said he wanted to ask me to play in his solo band. Many years ago it was. When I asked him why the hell he didn't he replied saying that he didn't think I'd want to. True story
15. One more and a completely different sound - more of a DI output: http://www.iguitarmag.com/magazine-editions/guitar-interactive-issue-27/edition-videos/dv_ebs_valve_drive_pedal_reviewmp4/
16. Aha! I've found this one too. http://www.iguitarmag.com/magazine-editions/guitar-interactive-issue-27/edition-videos/dv_aguilar_tone_hammer_500_and_sl_112_cab_reviewmp4/
17. Hopefully this clip will work. I'll see if I can find some more - you can ignore the rest of the video just the intro bass clip.
18. I upgraded an Ibanez 6er with three DC40's and a custom switching system. It sounded brilliant. I'm just trying to track down some video clips with it in.
19. Just to offer up some alternatives, two of my favourites have been the DarkGlass Vintage and right now I'm actually using and EBS Billy Sheehan signature pedal with the gain quite low. Both offer a very important ingredient - and that's the ability to mix in your clean bass sound with the dirt. Getting the blend right means you retain punch and articulation but have enough grit to warm things up a bit.
20. Some blithering buffoon rambling on about one here: http://www.iguitarmag.com/magazine-editions/guitar-interactive-issue-33/edition-videos/dv_ibanez_btb33_volo_bass_reviewmp4/
21. I'd like one myself too! The blend is very good and as a nice simple pedal it is also smaller than my TC Nova Dynamics which is a very good compressor!
22. I reviewed one recently and have to say that with the set up used, it was really rather good!
23. This is the porn to ruin all others though
24. It's all smiles and party here tonight... wow :/ The OP probably wishes they'd never asked now...
