  2. Today I mostly have Dingwall Combustion GAS

  3. I've never got along with Musicman basses... So why do I suddenly have GAS for a 5 string 'ray? Odd...

If you can find a really good example, see if you can gran a Cort GB75JH. The J pickup is pants, but the Low B is insane.

So, that's going to be an empty 1U space then

  6. Trying to sell gear on FB marketplace is torturous. I swear people get a kick out of wasting your time.

I am SO looking forward to getting my teeth in to this! I have three reviews on the way almost immediately and a whole list of manufacturers who want in. I'm pretty touched actually! Thank you everyone :) My reviews are only gonna get better and better now!

I've been very lucky, but not without a huge amount of hard work. I've been a professional musician for over ten years now (not long compared to some) and although I've had the odd blip, caused by outside influences, I would say that yes, I adore my job(s). It was a kid dream to think that my bass could pay my mortgage - and here I am! Thank you for the thoughtful words BillyBass :)

  10. What would be a good preamp/modeller/driver/DI to go straight into a PA?  Before everyone starts naming bespoke, top of the range items, please bear in mind that the budget is low.  When I say low, I mean that I was looking at a Behringer BDI21, low.

My emergency Go To is the Mooer (or Fender) Micro DI. No EQ controls on it at all, but it does have a speaker emulator that works very well for bass. Straight to PA and let the sound guy do the EQ work. Thats said, the Behringer is absolutely fine and up at volume in a mix, no one will know.

  11. I am an independent (freelancing) music gear video reviewer and demonstrator. If you own or know of a brand who are looking to have video footage produced for social media, drop me a line. I’d be interested in working with you.

Maybe you are a shop wanting to show off basses for sale, or are a small company producing pedals, a massive worldwide brand wanting quality media by someone who knows what they are talking about or simply want a company introduction video; let’s have a chat.

I’m also working on producing voice over media as I have a studio set up here too.

  12. Oh no.....a bass I've wanted for a while has become available. £2k+ though.....what to do!?!
I should probably go try it and hope that it's rubbish haha

Funnily, there's about three basses that have come up recently that I absolutely want. I've been looking for ages for them too .. but right now I could only afford the control knobs on just one of them. So frustrating!

Cheers (don’t worry, everything’s fine, just having a break!)

  14. Does anyone have any recordings of a (their) Fender 58 Roasted Ash Precision Bass?

  21. explain this spectracomp thing for TC amps. I did a stupid late night purchase and have a pointless 800W of ANGRY and this phone app has a billion options under 'spectracomp' what am I looking for?

If you select the BH800 in the app you’ll be able to pick what Toneprints can go in. Chorus, Compression, drive, octave and plenty more.

The TonePrint app contains patches created by major artists. You use the app to load them on to the SpectraComp. But if you don't like them, you can always use the editor to create your own.

It's this pedal in the box: I cant comment on accessing it on the amps though but if you can through the TC app, you basically are able to choose different programmes to configure this pretty amazing little multi band compressor.

      God I miss that bass..
