  1. Echoing the above! Paul bought a pedal from me, super quick payment and spot on comms. Yup, no problems here at all Thanks Paul!
  2. Without the budget it is unlikely to happen, but I do really want to try out Steinberg's Dorico, which is already in to it's version 2 release. The adverts look like it might be a great app, but possibly way more than the average punter needs.
  3. Ooh! I've not heard of that one. I've been using Guitar Pro 7 but have been meaning to give the (free) MuseScore a go - Adam Neely I notice recommended this recently so all the more reason for me to actually try it after having the app installed for..well.. probably a year ha! Thanks for the suggestion. I'm always looking for something easy to use.
  4. £130 for a basic set for our subs is a bit outside my budget, so I think I might continue the scrims route for now.
  5. I just googled "sub safe" and it return the first answer: https://subsafeaudio.com
  6. Yes let me know! In terms of my basic understanding of electronics (I have forgotten way more than I remember these days) most off the shelf headphone driver op-amps are capable of driving down to very low impedances. I'm not sure what Shure would use in their kit, but I can't imagine it was anything proprietary for the job of driving headphones. Maybe the 9 Ohms thing is just precaution?
  7. H2n is great! - Just a quick post to say that it only has four microphones in. Two arranged in MS format the other in XT format. You can set the H2n to either record the pairs down to stereo as a single file or you can have files for both the front facing and rear facing microphones. The latter would allow you to mix to taste in your DAW of choice. Interestingly though, I seem to get more headroom in the latter setting on the dial rather that the 'mix down to stereo' settings, meaning that in a loud situation I have to go with separate files. In a small rehearsal room with the amps cranked, you will peak the inputs even with the gain all the way down on the stereo setting. That said, the H2n is a little blinder and I find it fairly useful. - Especially, as in a video I recorded ages ago (long since gone now) I demonstrated using the H2n's live microphone output feed as an IEM or 'active hearing protection'. Very cool. H4n Pro looks amazing as it has a much higher SPL capacity, which I believe is up to 140dB? Not that I will need THAT much, but I could do with a little more on the H2n. Tough choice: small compact and awesome little dude that has it's limits or it's big brother with lots of additional functionality, but is much larger for the gig bag.
  8. Oh right, I hadn't spotted a minimum impedance on my own devices (errr, maybe I should look ha ha) but that could prove to be a bit of a confusion point for many a consumer who won't wanna risk damaging their arm and a leg priced IEMs. Hmmm!
  9. 'Can' even lol
  10. I was thinking that if we got scrims, we could hide a tiny sniper behind one. It'd be like that old kids game, Tin Pan Alley..
  11. They certainly do deliver cinema levels of surrounding low end, that I agree! Well, I've been off sick this week and my head probably isn't seeing it, but I picked out the 6Ohm impedance, which seems ridiculously low for any IEM. Though off the top of my head, I'm not sure that will be a problem for low powered devices running from batteries. Nah, you got me!
  12. I hadn't spotted that the A8's have gone! Glad I have mine when I had the chance!
  13. Thank you Thunderbird Now sold.

Oooooh Sounds pretty exciting to me! I feel very lucky to be a 64 Audio artist myself and love my A8 models that I’ve been using pretty much every week since I got them! oh, @EBS_freak and @tonyf get the props for introducing me to The Custom IEM Company as well as suggesting I try out the 64’s. Highly recommended.
  15. I love them too!
  16. I'm thinking about getting a set for our PA gear: They look great with LED lights set inside. However, all the 'off the shelf' ones I have seen for sale are for a triangular base (such as the one pictured to fit over a PA stand). I want a set that will suit a rectangular base, that is our PA subs. The scrims will have two jobs. The first is of course to make the set a little more eye catching but also it will help to discourage oiks from putting their drinks on our expensive gear! The scrim would go from underneath the PA tops down on to the top of the PA subs. Any thoughts or suggestions welcome!
  17. I have the EMG GZR P and the standard EMG HZ P here that I’ve been meaning to install in my 76 P-ish. The plan is to do a comparison, but that is proving difficult as the boss makes it difficult to have time to do such frivolities .
  18. In the vain attempt to hang on to my ehem... rock star status.. 🤣 I’ve got a new logo!! Expect to see it plastered everywhere.. err, well, here.

On my screen, this was beautifully truncated to "Expect to see it plastered."

      Which is nice.

      I looked up her website.

When I saw the words "artist and recovering groupie" I left because I am far too young to risk being corrupted with that kind of malarkey.

Which bit of your anatomy would you immortalise Dood?  Your fretting hand or your plucking hand?

I've no idea who Cynthia is and I'm not sure I want to look it up ha ha!!

What part would I immortalise? Goodness I've no idea. I'm not really sure anyone would want that to happen lol. Think 'my other half' would probably use my head as a door stop maybe.

  19. Shuker Bass. One the UK's little gems. How he manages to charge the prices he does for instruments that easily stack up against the very, very best costing much more never ceases to amaze me. I also know that many UK luthiers say the same! I've been playing Shukers for over ten years now and like you Josie, when you find your brand, it's a beautiful thing!
  20. Get in touch with Marshall who service Eden kit as they own Eden. I ended up doing the same and even on a non -warranty I ended up not having to pay a great deal. They also arranged all of the shipping too!

It occurred to me, feeling rather daft, I could just message Frank at Line 6!
  22. Mojo Mojo and Rogue Leader off to Marky Screen, now sold.
